Adding an M.2 SSD to the PS5 seems essential given the huge downloads for games. I already have Corsair RAM in my iMac so this one seemed trustworthy and a good price for 2TB.The heatsink is a nice, compact design and the packaging is entirely cardboard, no bags or excess cellophane. Opening the PS5's original case is easy, the neat PlayStation logo on the screw is an easter egg worth seeing.Inside the bay the screw and support are provided, but this drive is shorter than the maximum space available so you need to move it down a slot - don't lose the collar! There's no force or effort needed to install the drive.Powering up the PS5 recognised the drive instantly and offered to format it. It tests with a read speed of 6373 - a little short of the claimed read speed but close enough. Moving games to it is fast and everything I have launched from it has run justfine so I think it's up to the task, really!The upgrade is vital if you have PS Plus and a lot of games to stream, but I think the Corsair is worth having for the minimal packing, solid feeling heatsink and easy, fast installation. For me at least, it just works!

Super easy to fit and works straight away! Never delved into console upgrades so 1st time opening up my PS5, but followed a YouTube video and was a 5 minute job with no stress! Increased storage instantly by 2TB!

Finally I installed the Corsair 2TB M.2 to my PlayStation 5. The games are loading fast, even when transferring my games over from internal storage to SSD was incredibly super fast! No need to worry about space on the PS5 anymore as it has now tripled thanks to Corsair! The installation was very quick and easy, and I highly recommend you get this for your PS5. Only had this a short while but so far it's working a treat 😊I purchased the 2TB stick for my PS5 mainly as it had a heat sink already fitted. Fitting it was simple, though there's plenty of videos on YouTube shoud you get stuck, the only problem I had was getting the PS5 plastic cover to snap back into place! I can't test the speed of data saved as my Internet connection is a slow 70mbs so it'll only download and copy to the drive at that rate. Disc 💿 transfers seem fast and there's no fringing or frame rate freezes during game play to suggest it's having problems accessing game data from the drive 😀Hope this helps 😉

Yes this does work for PS5. You can save games and settings with this. The large capacity is perfect for a person with a large library of games. The installation was a breeze. Slide off the cover of your PS5 and you will see a port that accepts this memory stick. The stick plugs in to the device very easy. This is a must have if you a gamer. Well worth the money. Great Product.
