Good Book
The Ruthless Fae King is the third book in The Kings of Avalier series and follows Madelynn as she enters an arranged marriage with Lucian, the ruthless fae king. I enjoyed reading the main story of the book, it kept me turning pages and I was excited to find out what happened next. I also enjoyed the continuation of the story that has been weaving throughout the this books and its predecessors. Overall, a good book which has me looking forward to what happens in the next book. I would recommend giving it a read.

Lucien is Hot
Really enjoyed this one as I found Lucien to be a much more complex character than I expected. The interaction between the two of them was great & I liked that the previous characters made a reappearance. Can’t wait for the final book

Another Fantastic Book in the Series
I absolutely love this book! It is definitely my favourite of the series so far! I do think that about each new book though. I love all the characters in the Kings of Availer and can't wait to meet Axil and see what his queen brings!I have been really struggling to find books I like recently. Thank so much Leia Stone for bringing back my love of reading!

Surprised it's rated so highly
Genuinely baffled at the high ratings for this book series. The writing is so poorly done, it's been a theme throughout every book but I wrongly assumed that perhaps the authors writing style would've improved over the course of the series. This is the 73rd book i have read this year, I'm just over halfway through but it will be the first one that i don't finish. It's so childishly written, the FMC and her internal monologue is like a 10 year old. I wish I'd listened to my gut and stopped at the first book.

Best book of the series so far
This book was the best in the series so far, in my opinion. I really enjoyed the story and cared quite deeply for the main characters, which I could definitely not say about the characters in book two. Looking forward to the next one.

WOW!
I just love this series! I hope to read more of them! This story was so heart wrenching and yet so frightful and relieved that everything went well at the end!

Good
Madelynn and LucienAs the winter King, Lucien rules one the four fae courts, his ruthless reputation keeping them under control.Madelynn is a Royal of the fall court, and the woman Lucien has chosen to be his queen.War is coming to the fae lands, as the evil Nightfall queen seeks to dominate them all, and Lucien is facing unrest in his own courts…WARNING! This book has some content that requires trigger warnings. Rape, abuse, and torture all feature in this book, especially the former. Also, this ends on a cliffhanger. As the third book in a four book series, it’s gearing up for an explosive finish; so although the main storyline is at a “happily for now” stage, it ends with a situation setting up the final book, and an unresolved conflict with the evil queen. I’m rating it a 5/5 on the trauma scale, because the whole thing seems dire. It’s also worth mentioning that this book DOES depend on some events that occur in the previous two books, so you need to have read those first. Not only will it spoil things if you haven’t, but a large portion of events that have occurred in the past are pivotal to the storyline in this book.I admit to being absolutely shocked about what happened to Madelynn in this book, because I was not expecting it at all, so please consider yourself warned, she goes through some traumatic events on page. That being said, I did love how the heroine handled herself, and the hero too. Unfortunately she didn’t get much time to really come to grips with things before the book ends, but I’m hopeful that it works out well.I can’t wait to see how the next book turns out, and I’m looking forward to seeing what our three queens get up to in it.This is a fantasy series, with an individual romance in each book, making it a fine choice for fantasy and romantasy fans, especially for those who enjoy a truly “evil” antagonist.

A good book but...
I sincerely enjoyed this book. The tension between the characters is undeniable and their relation passionate.Nonetheless, I think it was a bit rush and the story too compartmentalized. They fall in love in a few days. We get the impression the king hadn't even met her, he was already in love, and although she pretends to hate him, this "hate" only lasts a few pages (I read the exerpt on Kindle and at the end of it, the "enemy" vibe I was getting from the synopsis had already disapeared ).Their relation takes a few pages to be built and when the action arises it seems there is no room for development anymore and another "part" of the story begins. As a result, I got the impression the love story was at the beginning and the plot story at the end. I would've liked those to be more blended.Anyway, it is still worth your attention. It is a display of the restorative power of love and how it can mend a destroyed heart. We have a strong and powerful female lead character who doesn't let disrespect step on her toes and a notorious king who may hide his true tender nature to protect himself.
