Thx.** A: No you do not have to growl in it. It makes its own noise which is similar to a younger crow. It works!!! **Q: Anyone have any luck getting crows to come feed in their backyard using this? I've tried corn, peanuts, added some shiny keys, water fountain. help?!** A: A: My understanding is that this is used to call crows to their deaths. They come thinking another crow is in trouble. If you use it to bring them to your yard and no distress is found they are smart enough never to respond to that ploy again. I have had murders of crows for decades. They come to shiny objects, fresh water, and food. They will find you if they feel safe. Unsalted roasted peanuts, a ball or two of tinfoil, birdbath of fresh water daily, stainless steel bowls of food and water. Good luck. They are a joy. **Q: Where is this made?** A: I have several crow calls. This one is best. I have stopped them in flight and they circle around to check me out. Sometimes they come down and land.
