I've been cleaning my desk, and I have a lot of charging cords to deal with. I need all of them, but they were piled up like a plate of spaghetti and I could never find the one I needed. I got these Velcro cable ties so I could keep them wrapped up neatly, and the assorted colors allow me to 'mark' each type of cord with a different color - red for phone chargers, green for the MP3s, and so on. I love the fact that I can easily cut the ties to the size I need. For most practical purposes, these ties are unbreakable, and they can be used and reused indefinitely. Ordinarily, that wouldn't make much difference - they only cost a nickel apiece - but it does mean I can wrap a cord, stick it in a box for ten years, and I won't be coming back to a tangle of cords and few rusted bits of twist ties or broken rubber bands. Almost forgot... Another great feature of these Velcro cord keepers is that you can partially wrap the bulk of a cord, and then wrap the loose ends when you're through using it. I realize that's not a very clear explanation, so I'll add another photo...
