The movie was fine, I'm rating on the service.
Movies are subjective. And as a storm chaser in real life, most movies about storm chasers are cheesy anyway, because they deliberately don't make them true to life so people don't think just watching a movie teaches them all they need to know about storm chasing.I made the purchase and it was immediately available to view. The quality looks very nice on my iMac. The movie itself will be added to my pre-storm season queue...every February, I begin getting excited for chase season and watch "cheesy" tornado movies and certain series where a tornado was the theme to hype up. haha

Not a bad movie.
Not a bad movie. It does have some great moments. There was some really amazing footage of real tornados and moments from real storm chasers' lives. The special fx were good but not as good as they could have been. I know there are many reasons that can happen, and I don't blame the vfx artists for it. I like to think it was a wonderful learning experience for everyone involved in the film and hope to see more from them in the future. Overall, I'd say everyone did a pretty good job. It's no "Twister" but it has heart, and I can tell a lot of love went into making it. Shout out to Pecos Hank!

Surprisingly Good
This movie reinforces my long-held standard of not relying solely on reviews to formulate my opinions. I found this film to be surprisingly good in several respects. Although the plot and acting are certainly not Academy Award quality, the film is nonetheless good overall. This is one of Actress Anne Heche's final screen appearances prior to her death, and while her age and physical condition are evident, she delivers a solid screen performance. I also enjoyed watching Alec Baldwin, whom I found to be quite entertaining in his guest-starring role. The film's visual elements are excellent with jarring close-ups and jaw-dropping special effects amid the backdrop of often stunning vistas. All-in-all I rate this film a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. I consider it a valuable addition to my DVD and Blu-Ray collection and plan to watch it over and over, especially now that it's tornado season where I live!

Absolutely NO STORY
How disappointing! There was absolutely no story development here whatsoever! Somebody took a half-written outline, threw in a few "cool-sounding weather jargon" phrases, found a kid whose one look of pretending to be awestruck, and presto! A bona-fide waste of time! There weren't even that many weather shots, maybe a little less than 5 minutes of genuine storm chaser shots throughout the movie, and when the action started, what little there was of it, it looked like amateur Photoshop. Why no story? Why no character development at all? Why such a SLOPPY waste of time!? And oh, yeah ... Alec Baldwin as Zane could really have been a character ... but it really showed that he was in there to just get a fast buck. I mean, such a sloppy, cheesy, BAD SCRIPT ... an actor of his caliper woulda never taken it had he not gotten a fast buck and gotten outta there. This movie makes Twister look like an epic classic! At least Twister had a slight whiff of attitude. And maybe a little red meat at Aunt Meg's. This movie didn't even have that! I want my money back!

"Twister Lite"....very lite.
Paycheck for a few actors. I rented it due to the fact a few sequences were shot here in my town in Georgia. Beautiful storm structures shown but other effects were rather subpar. Heche and Baldwin were not a good fit for this film. The entire story was rushed and predictable. Actually the acting was rather bad when it comes right down to it.. Low budget storm movie. Could have been more but needed a much better script and budget..

Beautifully filmed
Good story with relatable characters. But tge star of this is the sky. The storm footage is brilliant. They used real storm footage filmed by Pecos Hank who is a real storm chaser. They worked in the storm footage seamlessly throughout the film. I highly recommend it.
