Has a pleasant smell and does a good job on my curls

The defining cream is non toxic but very expensive. I applied it after washing and conditioning my hair. I ended up washing my hair twice the same day because my family turned on the fire pit and my hair smelled like smoke. The first time I washed, I applied the cream directly on the hair after washing and detangling. I didn’t like how my hair turned out. I tried it again but this time I applied a leave in from a different brand and I still didn’t like it. I liked defined curls. My hair is sensitive to protein, I think that’s why it didn’t work in my hair. I have type 3b/c curls. My curls didn’t feel moisturized, it felt like the moisture was getting stripped from my hair while applying it. Hair felt like straw. This is too expensive in my opinion.

I saw this product and hoped it would come through with the softness advertised as well as help keep my wavy hair from looking frazzled. Alas, it was not as soft as I hoped it would be and it weighed down my wavy hair instead of giving it the separated cascading waves I was hoping for. It might work better if you spend a lot of time styling your hair, I tend to want to spend as little time as possible. It does result in softer hair than some other products, but it fell short of the softness I felt it advertised.
