Access is tricky, crevice device would be needed.** A: The Draper has a very powerful suction force and would be capable of sucking up most materials including damp sand. I use it in my trade as decorator and it as sucked all manor of things both wet and dry. Just make sure use correct filter there is 1 for wet 1 for dry . **Q: Will it pick up wet soil and leaves** A: Wouldn’t even pick up a wet paper towel, complete rubbish **Q: How loud is this vacuum from 1 being low and 10 high volume? Thank you.** A: It is an 8 - can use without hearing protection (for a while) but you will not hear anyone else while it is running. It works great but not silent. It can be used as dry vacuum, wet vacuum, blower. Comes with plenty of attachments for different tasks. It's relatively small in size and therefore its easy to handle, comes with a strap so you can hang it on your shoulder.Dry Vacuum - lots of power for it's size and capable of dealing with car interior quite quickly.Wet Vacuum - so far used it once to clean van seats, I used semi-transparent nozzle which I bought separately and it worked great.Blower: This function surprised the most, I didn't expect too much and I was shocked when I saw how much power it has when used as a blower considering it's size and price.Only downside is that it gets very hot quite quickly - you won't get burned but it is quite uncomfortable when it hangs at your side.Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and only unknown is how long will it last. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Love it *by A***O on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 February 2016* It worths every penny: it's powerful, capable and works better than described. The size is really ok, and it's more lightweight than you should think given the size. I've been going through an extensive refurbishing and remodelation upstairs at home and this little one saved my life from all the rubbish several times.Two minor cons:- Getting the wheels attached is hard, and they fall off quite easily. Needs to be improved.- The bags are expensive: a set of 3 goes for about 15 quid.EDIT: I've found a set of compatible and better bags for a better price, which brings the machine even better; I'm using now the PTX Universal filters 20-30L, which you can find in any B&Q ([...]). You'll get 5 bags for 12 quid, they seem thinner (they are) but they work perfectly like the originals (I've noticed the vacuum sucks even better with this ones). Everything looks and feels robust. I like the chrome plated collection bin.The only assembly needed is to fit the castors and top handle. One minor annoyance was that the castors - which are supposed to be a "firm push fit" were impossibly tight to fit by hand.I bought it mainly for wet work, for which it's absolutely superb. I have just used it to empty a header tank filled with filthy, slimy algae. It sucked the whole lot up effortlessly and with absolutely no leakage or splashing.For dry vacuuming you have to fit a cloth filter over the motor housing, and also use disposable paper dust collection bags. I thought paper collecting bags had gone out with the Ark, but it seems they live on in these small drum vacuums. The jury is out on these - I can't see myself replacing the bag every time I use it, especially in the workshop or garden when it can fill up in seconds! Maybe one side of the bag could be cut and replaced with velcro, so that it can be emptied and reused.
