**Q: Does it convert pal dvds to ntsc tv e.g. uk dvd to usa tv set?**
A: HI if purchased from 220-electronics Yes these players will play Pal and NTSC discs and convert them to NTSC so that they will work on any TV.
Also they are region free and will play any region Blu-ray including region A, B, and C as well as any region standard DVD.  PLEASE NOTE: the region free upgraded player is different than the normal player. Many sellers are confused on this and are selling the NON region free player in this region free listing.

IF you purchase from 220-electronics rest assured you will get the region free version as advertised.

**Q: Will this play both Blu-ray and plain dvd multi revions**
A: My region free one will play dvds... all I have tried. I play some bbc blue rays & dvds and they work fine. 
My unhacked one won’t play any dvds through to the end. Mostly, it won’t even start them, even in NA region ones.

**Q: If It is turned off in the middle of the movie will it pick up  where it stopped?**
A: Yes. I've tried a few different discs so far letting it turn off on its own paused and also manually turning off the machine after pausing. Everytime I've turned it on it would play from where it was paused previously. I did notice it might take some time to load or I would have to manually push play, but I haven't had any issues with it auto resuming.

**Q: Does this player plays dvd/bd on Mexico?**
A: I can verify that this Sony product works in Region 2 Europe, it came right on, you don't need to program it for other regions they play automatically.  I would probably say this Sony statement; works in all regions, is probably true.

Review for the Sony Region Free UBP-X800 from bombay electronics. I've had this for a couple weeks from bombay electronics and it plays region 2 Blu rays perfectly. The lazy or stupid people that gave it bad reviews do not know how to read or follow the instuctions. It's simple: 1. Make sure there are no DVD or Blu Ray in the tray. 2. Turn the power button OFF. 3. Press the color button on the remote for the region you want to play. This turns the power back ON and you are ready to put a Blu Ray back in machine to play. If you have turned the power button on your system back on during this process you have done it wrong. For dvd's it plays everything without any problems. The picture quality is outstanding on this player as anyone owning Sony players should already know. I didn't and do not plan on updating firmware as if it ain't broke don't try to fix it. When I turned it on the first time I skipped setting up WiFi and then later chose an option to never upgrade firmware automatically. It couldn't really since it doesn't have my WiFi settings but just another step to ensure there is no auto update.
