I bought this tamper a little while back and I’ve been really happy with it. Solidly made, has a nice tactile response, though not the one that clicks when you reach the bottom. Not sure if the black coating does all that it claims to, as I tends to twist the tamper after pressing and releasing, and that usually clears off most of the grinds. Plus, I spray a bit of water on the beans before grinding, so I don’t think there is as much static as there would be otherwise. Still, never have issues with static on the base! Only thing is that once in a while, you have to clean between the base plate and the upper levelling plate, but rarely.

Best puck prep upgrade I’ve made. Better than rotary distributors and spinning needle sets and the other guff. Paired with a manual wdt this is all you need and more consistent than using other tampers which can misalign or over tamp.
