Nostalgic & scary,
Great piece of nostalgia here, the film is in black/white to add to the suspense, George Sanders is in fine form, the small rural village is apparently visited by Aliens who get some select ladies pregnant to establish an Alien community there, all the kids start growing up with horrendous consequence , of course you need to see the next one "The Children Of the Dammed" to see the outcome.

Good Value
Two very good classic British films of the early 60s. In my opinion Village of the Damned has the edge over Children of the Damned in terms of the performance of the child actors and the script. With the sequel, 'Children', the audience has a good idea of the capabilities of the children so a slight amount of suspense is lacking. In the first film an entire village is threatened by the children whereas in the sequel the children are more of a self-contained unit and therefore less of a threat being as the setting is in a city rather than a small village. But overall, both films are well worth watching and it's interesting to see actors who later became better known. Both films are very good value for the price.

Village & Children of The Damned Product Review
Every one by now should know how good these two atmospheric black & white Sci-Fi films are, but didn't expect the very good professional presentation of the double box set which was up for sale at a very reasonable price. Can't go wrong with purchasing these two great British classics if you want a good bargain, or will make a good choice as a present when stuck what to buy for someone that will appreciate classic British vintage films. As an added thought, it might be noticed how close some of The Avengers tv early series parodied the eerie scene of a seemingly innocent rural English village about to undergo a dramatic change.

Classic science fiction
This is a super rendition of John Wyndham's classic novel. Seen as a youngster in the 1960s, it was genuinely scary and memorable. It is still that to adult eyes, with the added bonus of seeing village England in simpler times, and that science fiction can be successful without high tech, whizz bangs, huge monsters or CGI.

Village and Children of the Dammed
Excellent films. Children of the dammed not quite as good as Village of the dammed but still a good film. The children did kill themselves because they did not know why they were there. This was right as there is know sequel to the story as far as I know.Very good value films. Thank you Amazon.

Quite Eerie Through Out
A very interesting film to watch. Where the kids take over the local village and then they want to take over the world. I loved it. Well worth buying to watch. My reviews are genuine and not fake. PC. 21. 03. 2021.
