4 ½ stars here’s why
The Logic of Freedom is definitely well researched and footnoted. Giving myself, a curious reader, direction where to fill gaps in my knowledge. For me the beginning of the book was similar to climbing up a large hill on a bike. Reading was a slow-going process for me. Many stops to look up further information and background. Is this the author’s fault or mine? I do not know. But being the reader, I feel it falls on the author.Although the beginning seemed to drag, it was the necessary foundation for the rest of the book. The author builds on the logic base to guide you through the steps that lead to freedom.Finding many useful nuggets after the climb-up-the-hill. I found myself nodding my head at the relevant statements and conclusions. This alone makes it worth the read. The conclusion was a bit different than I had anticipated. No spoilers, but last chapter gave me glimmers of optimism. All the arguments tied together a truth that can be taught now and to the next generation. What will you find? Unknown.Rest assured your time will be well spent.

Praxeology, Kant and Free Will In a Fresh And Exciting Read.
The Logic Of Freedom by Laura Davidson is a lively and engaging read about some of the most intriguing questions of philosophy, most notably consciousness and free will. As neuroscience advances, we seem to be moving closer and closer to a physicalist view of consciousness: it’s all about matter and brain tissue and neurons and their pathways. Davidson knows all this, but approaches the subject of free will from another direction, namely that of logic. Using praxeology and its Kantian foundations, she arrives, through pure logical argument, at a justification for the place of free will in our understanding. It’s very refreshing as well as enlightening to take this route. Books of philosophy can be dull and turgid and hard work, but this one is fresh, energizing and exciting.

Such a Rare Jewel! Clear and Accessible Libertarian Theory
As I read it, I was struck by its clarity and convincing arguments. It made me look at Liberty in new and exciting ways. It is definitely not a light-weight for it’s full of History, Philosophy and theory. The content is great, but it’s not complete until you read the last chapter.

Freedom isn't just a good idea, it's LOGICALLY inescapable!
It's not every day you encounter a purely logical basis for such things as the mind/body gap, free will, and the moral imperative for a free society. If you want to have a day like that, read Laura Davidson's book. You will never be wishy-washy about freedom again!
