Unlike the cheapies from China, on Flebay etc, that are undoubtedly knock offs, these work properly in an Optimyst fire.The cheapies, can be spotted by their longer lead, which is reverse wired and smaller label.If you reverse the wiring you then discover the fan blades are bigger and will produce more "smoke" than the Flying Scotsman 😉

It Works.
We were on the verge of scraping our Dimplex OptiMyst fire. It suddenly stopped producing smoke and started switching its self off. We replaced Transducer once again. Still no smoke. Gave every individual part a thorough clean. Still no smoke and cut out after 2 or 3 hours. In desperation after watching a trouble shooting YouTube video we decided to renew the fan. Read all the favourable reviews and decided to purchase it. To our absolute joy and amazement it worked and we have smoke once again. If this hadn’t worked we were going to ditch the fire. It’s cost us a small fortune in replacement parts. I don’t think I’d ever buy another OptiMyst fire despite loving it. So if anyone has the same problem with the fire not producing smoke and all else has failed, try replacing the fan.

Replacement fan for a Dimplex optimax fire isolated problem with smoke effect not working properly as the fan not rotating removed water container and heater unplugged fan unit removed the three screws in the plastic housing lifted out fan and fitted new one (the replacement event was even the same make) and assembly is the reverse procedure

Has done the job well!!
Replaced the old wheel on our Dimplex Fire, owing to the old one having stopped the smoke effect. This was a comparitively easy task taking around about 15 mins to remove the old wheel and replace with the new one.The only tool required was a small phillips style screwdriver.Unplugged the fire at the mains, removed the four tiny screws from the small top panel above the wheel, take away the small sponge air cleaner, lift up the old wheel and disconnect the wire connector and replace with the new wheel exactly in reverse order. Job done! Smoke effect back as new... Excellent product.This isa genuine review from a very happy customer-Thank-you Peter.
