Long story short, I would not recommend this for plumbing unless you need only a small amount to do a repair. If you're doing a home renovation like I am and need to solder multiple connections and joints, get a Lead-free silver bearing wire solder instead. I found this difficult, though not impossible to work with. It was probably due to the fact that this solder is much thinner and has a lower melting point than the silver solder I usually use. That being said, the connections made were solid and I had no issues after I completed the project. I can see this being good for crafts and jewelry making.
