Not quite as advertised
This is an good reference book for European armour and hand weapons. Unfortunately anyone expecting 'weapons' to include firearms will be sorely disappointed. Mr Oakeshott gives only a cursory look at blackpowder weapons (15 pages in a book of 288 is not really adequate..). His real interest and focus of the book is in edged weapons (and why not) but this book should titled accordingly.
