Shur-Line 2007061 Red Silicone Mess-Free Store and Pour Collapsible Paint Can Lid

I absolutely love these lids, they fit snugly on metal 1-gallon cans, the spout folds down into the lid for stacking, and paint doesn't stick to the silicon so they're easy to clean.But a word of warning: Home Depot's Behr brand has moved from metal cans to recycled plastic, and these lids do NOT fit the new cans!

I’m a first time painter and new to all this stuff. I bought this lid to help with the ease of pour and storage and it works marvelously! I’m so grateful I got it.I’ve had this lid on my paint bucket for two months and the paint is still fluid and not dry. Highly recommend.

These lids really help prevent making a mess with pouring paint. The cap will seal so you don't have to replace the lid right away. Open the can, use these lids until you are done painting and then put the original paint can lid back on. We have 4 of them.

This product does not fit on any of the paint cans I have bought. Too late to return it so I dumped it.

Very high quality product. Very easy to use. Keeps an otherwise messy task neat and easy. Because of this product I actually hate to paint a little bit less.

I really like these lids. Pouring paint is very messy even with those press on pouring lip things. I threw all of those things away. The spout on these works very well as long as you remember to open the little air bleed. Ask me how I know. They can be a little hard to install, but a shot filled hammer does the trick. I don't trust the secureness of the fit and advise never pouring with just with the handle alone especially with a full can of paint. I grab the can with both hands with my thumbs on top of the lid securing it. Also if I remember correctly, it will not fit the plastic replacement cans they sell at Home Depot.

This paint lid is a winner.I have eleven of these lids, both quarts and gallons. The fit is VERY tight when applied to a fresh can of paint. If the groove on the top of the can has paint residue then the seal with the lid may not be quite so tight.These lids make pouring neat. They protect paint from evaporation. They make it easy to pour just a little when that's all you need. Cleanup? Just peel off the dried paint. Couldn't be easier.As you can see from the photos, this lid permits stacking.I was skeptical that these lids would work for long-term storage, but I have one can now that still has good paint after two years with one of these lids!Finally, a note: WATER-BASED PAINT. These lids are not for oil-based paints. If the coating will clean up with water then this lid will work fine.I'm posting this review because I'm very happy with how these lids have helped with my painting projects.
