Well packed, in great condition and better than I expected

The Calathea arrived safely with care, and it comes very neatly packed inside a tall box. The box is well designed as there is a strip close to the base which you tear off and the lid lifts straight off giving easy access to the plant.Thanks to how well this plant was packed it was in perfect condition when I removed all the packaging. The leaves were all excellent with no damage to them and the soil was still slightly damp. Considering this is one of the first plants ive ever ordered online I’m very pleased with how good quality it is and that it looks better than the item photo!The plant looks amazing, and it’s got some stunning large leaves on it, the tops look like they were painted with brushstrokes. It stands about 80cm tall from the ground (tallest leaf) and the one I received has about 20 leaves with a few more still to come through.The Calatheas need a consistently warm spot with bright but indirect light as direct sunlight will scorch the leaves. They love a humid atmosphere so keeping them in the bathroom is ideal or you can mist the leaves daily and they will be very happy, just make sure to keep the temperature to a minimum of 15 degrees C.The plant needs to be watered with filtered, distilled, or rainwater, do not use water straight from the tap as they are sensitive to chemicals. Make sure to keep the soil nice and moist between spring to autumn and slightly moist in the winter. Feeding them every couple of months will also help to ensure a healthy plant.Overall, not only do I really like this plant, but it arrived in perfect condition and health, so I have absolutely no complaints about it. At around £35 it is quite expensive but at the same time it is good quality, so it represents reasonable value for money in my eyes. I’m more than happy to recommend this item and I feel its easily worth the full five stars, buy with total confidence!

Plant good but was left outside and UPSIDE DOWN! When box clearly states which way up. Mud EVERYWHERELess than impressed. Plant squashed so hoping it recovers!?

An absolutely stunning plant. The packaging and handling needs improving as there was some significant damage to some leafs, which required them to be cut off but otherwise beautiful

Was really looking forward to receiving this after reading the other reviews but unfortunately it has arrived half dead with some very brown sad looking leaves

This is a very attractive house plant, which arrives with large, healthy leaves and plenty more on the way. It is glossy, full of vigour and in a large pot packed to the brim with compost. Care instructions are provided, which are sparse, but sufficient to hopefully ensure the plant continues to look as good in the future as it does on arrival.The plant is suited to shade or partial shade but needs to be kept out of strong sunlight, which makes it ideal as a houseplant, particularly if you live in an old house that is pretty dark all year round. Not many things survive in these conditions, so fingers crossed this seems an ideal candidate.Thanks to careful packing in a large botanical shipping container, which holds the pot securely in place, this arrives in perfect condition. The pot is wrapped in cellophane, which helps to successfully protect the long stems from any damage during transit. I would therefore have no concerns about having this shipped direct to someone as a gift. The plastic pot does not include a saucer, so plan to get one if you don't already have one to use. The plant is very healthy and looks like it has been well cared for before arriving here.It looks healthy and full of life; I suspect it will be down to me if it fails to thrive. It is well packed, would be a good gift to send to someone and should arrive in good condition in my experience.

This plant's exquisite broad and oval-shaped leaves have subtle silver-green streaks along with a cool tone of blue on the green base.This streaked pattern brings to mind a candy cane that in turn evokes childhood memories of joy and suspense during winter times when the home is decorated with this candy.Leaves tend to turn their pretty faces toward the light source and their undersides are a gentle pale silver-green colour.The plant was in great health upon arrival and is still growing strong, expanding and opening new leaves.By the way, the baby leaves have this astonishing rolled-papyrus-like look and are a whitish-green colour.The Infographic instructions on how to look after this plant are simple and clear.This plant also has air-purifying qualities. They say that the amount of leaf surface area influences the rate of air purification. This beauty is very leafy and the leaves are huge. I just need to make sure it gets a sufficient amount of light for photosynthesis.The stunning foliage breathes life, glamour and colour into our bedroom which is where it currently lives.No wonder they are always highly sought after.This is my second plant from this company and I’m absolutely delighted with the quality of the plants I received - definitely recommend it.

This really did turn up 25 inches high. It arrived undamaged although the growing medium was dry but I gave it a good soak. I’ve had this for several weeks and it’s still looking happy and healthy. However, I wouldn’t say calathea are 'easy maintenance' as stated. They come from the tropics. It likes a minimum temperature of around 18° and it likes high humidity, which means it’s really happiest in a non-draughty, well-lit bathroom. It’s not going to like a cold conservatory or a kitchen windowsill during the winter. If you can get it on the windowsill. The the only reason I’m taking off a star is because, at time of writing, it was priced at over £30. For that sort of price I would’ve expected some decent care instructions. Calathea aren’t that easy to look after.

Leider haben die Deppen vom Zustelldienst die Pflanze auf den Kopf gestellt und transportiert. Dass sie dennoch so schön angekommt würde sogar einen sechsten Stern verdienen. Die Pflanze ist durchweg gesund und wurde gut gepflegt. Gerne wieder, bin wirklich begeistert und die beschenkte bekommt sich vor Freude fast gar nicht mehr ein.

Wunderschön! Die Pflanze fühlt sich wohl in der neuen Umgebung. Sie hat schon drei neue Blätter bekommen.Sehr gute Verpackung.Fast ein Bisschen zuviel Pspirr. Ich honnte dies aber weiter verwerten!
