SEBO Automatic X1.1 ECO Vacuum Cleaner - 1100 W [ Energy Class E ] [Energy Class C]

Well I have had many vacuum cleaners and this one is simply the best. Why? Well because of the following:1. Unlike many it isn't too heavy2. Unlike many it isn't too noisy3. It has a great feature in that you press a button and the brush roller pops right out which in our family with women with long hair is a boon as you can then easily cut the hair off the roller and simply pop it back - the roller unlike most cleaners is driven from the end, out of the way of the brushes and not by a flimsy rubber belt.4. It is a bagged cleaner which means that you capture all the dirt and never see it again - contrast that to these ridiculous bagless cleaners that for some reason most people somehow think are the bees knees (probably thanks to Dysons slick marketing) where he dirt is captured OK until you have to empty the container housing the dirt and then the dirt and dust flies everywhere as well as sticking by static to the outside of the cleaner Ugh!!5. The cleaner has an air of robust and solid engineering about it. You can tell it is made in Germany.6. The cleaner has an interesting feature whereby the roller is constantly adjusting to the surface so that the correct amount of pressure/suction is applied - clever stuff and works very effectively.7 There is another interesting feature where you can very quickly turn the floor vacuum cleaner into a vacuum lance! Very good for spiders and dust high up!Get one - you will not regret it!

After struggling with a Dyson for about 8 years this machine was literally a breath of fresh air! No horrid stuffy smell after use due to the high filtration standard. My opinion is that the bag type of cleaner is far better than the bag-less cylinders in the modern-style cleaners that you hold over the dustbin/other waste receptacle to empty. Reason being bags are far cleaner and you don't suffer the cloud of dust that arises on emptying the modern-type cylinders. Yes bags have to be paid for as extras but in the case of this SEBO machine it takes quite a few cleaning sessions to fill the bag to capacity. I've used mine a few times and it isn't even half full yet. The cleaner itself is first class, very easy to put together and to operate. Suction is fantastic compared with what I've been used to. My carpet piles are all resurrected now after only just a couple of SEBO cleans! I bought the basic X1.1 model and then decided to buy the Dusting and Turbo brushes as extras. The attachments work really well, including the upholstery brush provided as standard with the machine. The warning lights to alert the user to a clogged brush or bag are a superb idea and I am so pleased with this cleaner that using it is a joy, and I actually look forward, now, to cleaning my floors in next to no time and am happy with the results. You cannot go wrong with this machine and although I cannot comment on Customer Service because I haven't needed to use this facility, if in future I do then I will leave a review as to their competence and willingness to solve problems for customers.

Good - The main vacuum cleans the carpet really good and is not too loud, if you just want this its great.Bad - The hose is next to useless with hardly any stretch and with the hose coming out near the top the vacuum means it will topple over unless you hold it with your other hand. The handle is too long and the grip is small so it wants to come out of your hand so you have to grip tight.

If you want a bagged upright cleaner with a decent sized motor the choice is pretty limited. I wanted to replace an old Panasonic upright which has worked well for many years but couldn't find an equivalent product, so decided on this one. It seems OK, easy to use (once you have assembled it - the instructions could be clearer), not too heavy, picks up pretty well. It has a sensor which automatically raises and lowers the brush height depending on the floor surface. I preferred being able to do this manually on my old cleaner, but all the current models seem to have this feature. You don't get that hugging the carpet kind of feel, it moves across the floor very freely without leaving tracks - not sure if this is a good thing or not. When I was comparing this model, the X1.1 ECO with the more expensive SEBO models, I thought that the only difference was that you get a few more accessory tools with the more expensive one. However, after having read the instruction leaflet, I realise that some models have a "boost" feature which this one does not have. If I had realised that I might have gone for the next model up. However, it seems OK so on the whole I'm pleased. Only time will tell if it proves as reliable as the old Panasonic. It's probably worth mentioning that the power cable does not retract automatically and is not stored inside the machine so you have to wind it round the handle for storage which seems a bit old fashioned and laborious.

A few years ago I was recovering from an operation in my local hospital when a lovely lady came into my room and took great care to vac the carpet with a very quiet, nice looking vacuum cleaner. I was surprised to see her easy use of the onboard tools and loved how fresh the air was whilst the carpet was being cleaned. The machine also looked tidy and stylish so I simply had to ask for the name of the manufacturers. Eventually, at home when I felt well enough I looked on the internet and found my Sebo Automatic X Vacuum Cleaner. I learned that it was fitted with a very good filtration system and the bonus for me of a disposable filtered bag complete with a plastic disc to cover the opening of the bag to ensure that dust cannot spill out when disposing of it. I have had my Sebo for 18 months now and it's just like new, unlike other machines I have used in the past. It's Brilliant! By far the easiest vacuum cleaner I have ever used. I love it. It's so good my friend has bought one and she says it has taken the 'backache' out of her cleaning jobs at home and she has recommended it to another friend who lives in Scotland. It's so much lighter than the other cleaners I have owned. Thank you so much for making life a little easier for all of us.
