Compact, Fast, and Easy
I was skeptical about this little guy because it was rather inexpensive compared to some of the similar products. However, I'm really glad I ordered it. I've used it about 5 times now and it's been great. It transfer photos very fast (much faster than hooking my camera up via USB) and there's been no errors or problems. And Windows 7 detects it right away.I especially like how tiny the device is, since I can stash it in my camera bag.UPDATE 12/23/2011:Apparently I've had this little guy for quite some time now. I still use it a couple times a month and it's held up!Only once has it caused a problem. One of the tiny pins bent and I was unable to insert my storage card. It might have been my fault; not sure. But, I was able to fix it with a tiny screwdriver in about 30 seconds.

Excellent quality at a great price.
I've gone through a number of card readers of various type. The oldest were very expensive, and they're still going strong, but they're also very bulky, very slow, and require carrying around a USB cable. The newer ones have all been cheap, but they looked it, and eventually they all broke or just fell apart. This is particularly true for CF readers, with all of those tiny pins. As soon as I unwrapped the PowerDigital CF reader, I could see that it was different. It is small and compact, but it is also both elegantly designed, and solidly put together. I'm impressed to find such a well made product at such a bargain price.

Excellent if you need a cheap CF card reader, but use gently
Good cheap CF card reader. Works well for my purpose, which is to transfer data between my PC and an Apple Powerbook from 1995 (which runs surprisingly fast!). Only issue is that the port you put the card in is a little wide, so it's possible to put the card in wrong and accidentally damage the pins if you're not paying attention. Almost happened to me a couple times. I suppose it's not entirely the reader's fault though, since CF cards are pretty wide themselves.

Outstanding, but broke on 4th use
This card reader handled my SanDisk Extreme Pro 32 GB CF card easily (90MB/sec 600x). It uploaded my pictures very fast, and performed flawlessly 3 times, for which I gave it 5 stars. The fourth time, four of the little pins in the socket bent, and it no longer works, for which I gave it zero stars, averaging to three stars. If you decide to try it, put the back of the reader on a table or other firm surface so that the socket is up, and push the card into the socket straight down firmly and, especially, evenly. This reader is so inexpensive and so good (when it works!) that I might try another one, and just be very careful. Blue Proton could improve the product by indicating either on the product itself (best) or even on the packaging which side is up. Compliments to Blue Proton for keeping the shipping costs down to a reasonable level.

Great product
I liked that it is USB 2.0. The old laptop I take with me on photo shoots is old enough it proves that USB 3.0 is not always backward compatible. I forgot my usual, expensive card reader when I went on a week long photo job, and ordered this in desperation, because it was inexpensive and qualified for Prime shipping. I liked it so much that I bought 2 more. Now I have one in my laptop bag, my camera bag and as a backup at home.

works perfectly!
I got this product to use as an easy way to connect my CF to my computer (I have an apple powerbook). As soon as I got it I plugged it into my computer with my CF and it worked perfectly! I was able to get my pictures off no problem. I read some reviews stating that it breaks super easy so I've been very careful about handling it, making sure I don't drop it. So far it's been great, no issues. I am also careful about plugging the CF into the reader, as I read that the pins bend easily, but again, I haven't had any issues. For the price, you can't beat it!

Don't bother
Don't waste your money on this item. It lasted me less than 6 months with very light use. Someone made the comment that this reader is "backwards" and for lack of better description, I agree with them. Not sure how to explain it but the cards do not fit into the slot like you think they should. And the slot is big enough to let you put it in there the wrong way which bends the pegs. My pegs never actually bent, I was very gentle with it, but the whole plastic piece that the pins were on fell off. Not at all impressed with this product. You get what you pay for though and I continually bought the cheap card readers hoping to find one of hidden value. I could have bought three of the more expensive Lexar Dual-Slot Reader, that Amazon also sells, for as many cheap readers as I have gone through. Save yourself the frustration, spend the extra money and get something that won't break in a few uses.

Worked perfectly for compact flash card reading
I used this for compact flash card reading from an old Canon Rebel DSLR. It worked perfectly. Sturdy and never broke after years and years of use.
