How is this product different than the Terra?

E terra is the only plug-in version. This means you cannot take it with you outdoors. On the plus side the regulation of the carbonation is excellent

Is there a low CO2 warning light or a way to tell if you're almost out?

Soda Stream does not have an indicator for how much CO2 is in the cylinder. Soda Stream provides the following suggestions: 1. Make sure the cylinder is properly inserted in the cylinder holder, with the cylinder handle lowered. 2. Press the carbonating button and check if you see CO2 entering the bottle. 3. Press the button a few times and check for bubbles. 4. Listen for a sputtering sound when you press the button Well, that only tells you if you have some left or are completely out of CO2. So they suggest that you have a spare back up cylinder or two. Of course that way they sell more cylinders but if you have 3, it's cheaper on freight when you send them in to be recharged. I understand that they send out replacements as soon as they receive what you send to them so it's a fairly quick turn around. Hope this helps.

Does the water come out cold or the same temperature it went in?

Water is the same temperature. I use ice cubes in a pitcher to cool the water, then put that in your bottle. Works very well.
