It's super difficult to find 2.5mm female plugs
Like another reviewer said, these things are hard to find. I bought these to be fitted to my guitar to bypass a "patented" quick plug system. This made short work of that but I didn't save much money lol.

Guild Fishman mod
I converted a Fisherman hard wire saddle pickup to a new saddle pickup with 2.5mm jack and this worked perfectly for the final connection. No more disassembly of the preamp to remove the pickup or vice versa to remove the preamp.

Tiny weak wires
The wires are too small and weak. They keep breaking and falling out of the amp I plugged them into (while both sides are held securely in place). I've had to disassemble the thing and re-do the wiring five or six times in the two weeks I've had it. I'm sure there a standard gauge or whatever. But that doesn't make this any less frustrating.
