La Bella 760M Flat Wound Bass Strings Set 52/110

I’ve tried flats from: Ernie Ball, Fender and D’Addario. These LaBella 760FS are by far the best of these for my taste. Strings are really smooth and the sound is phenomenal. Don’t get me wrong, the other brands are good but these are marvellous.

Lighter gauge than the Roto Sound flats I normally use but play and sound far better.Also the different string tensions got rid of the Fender dead spot round the G strings 7th fret.

I've had a Precision for years, but bought a Mustang PJ as my old hands and shoulders were beginning to complain; I tried various (flatwound) strings on it but never quite got there until I bought these.....tone is great, and the E is now tuneful, which wasn't the case previously. Overall, it finally sounds pretty much like the P, but is easier to play. Excellent!!

The title says it all. First set got lost and the price went up instantly but Amazons good customer service made up for this and I got expedited delivery at same price. They arrived less than 24 hours before a recording session, which normally would be no use but these played straight out of the packet. I tune a half step down and La Bella recommended medium gauge instead of heavy….they were right!

I have used these bass strings before on my semi acoustic bass. The latest set I receieved are notthe usual high standard I'd expect from La Bella. A little on the dull grey side visually and not the usually shiny silver smooth finish. Sound - wise, the thump is still there but not as deep or dynamic. Also, they came in a pack all wound together together with no individual packets as I've always had. Are they fake ones?Who really knows.

Seller sent the completely wrong strings but la Bella are fantastic warm sounding strings and so easy to play

ok so the strings themselves are great - nylon wrapped strings are just the best on fretless bass - just don't use them with a synthetic Ebanol fretboard. I have two fretless basses - maple and the awful, unholy ebanol. the maple one sounds exactly like a fretless should, the nylon strings produce (surprisingly) more 'mwwahh' than standard roundwounds, and with a beautiful organic, rich and full tone. I decided to try a set on the ebanol board to see if it would help to lose some of that awful, clacky plastic feel, but alas, no. I still hate it. But the strings are great though

They really sound great to play with amazing sustain. My only slight dislike is that they have purple fabric ends which looks a bit “teenage goth” for me.
