Vivosun High Quality compost bin for cheap!
Quality compost bin that is easily assembled in minutes! Comes with everything you need to make compost at home! Performance grade material that’s durable even for harsh North Dakota winters. Easily shapes and fills any space. Holes on the entire surface are extremely beneficial for crucial air circulation needed to maintain a healthy environment for your soil. Amazing instructions that are very detailed and contains pictures that help guide you to the proper setup for your application. I love the different sizes available so you can add more to your compost system to make the 3 bin system ingredients separately. The price is outstanding for all the product you get. $35 is an excellent deal for a 220 gallon container! Even comes with gloves that you can wear to help keep your hands clean and helps pickup leaves much easier with the clawed fingertips and gripping materials. I bought this a trial to see if it works for me as an avid and experienced gardener. Excellent placement to put chicken waste, grass clippings, fall leaves, garden clippings and the best part; no more wasted food going in the trash. It’s composted instead in my own backyard! No waste! Can’t wait to buy the other 2 sizes for more capacity! Thanks Vivosun for creating all your amazing products that help beginners and professional gardeners with quality products and competitive pricing!

Works great and seems durable
I liked this so much I ordered a second one and will be ordering a third. I've had the first one for 2 years and it seems to be holding up well. I fill these with food scraps, coffee grounds/filters, rabbit and goat manure along with a little grass and lots of brown leaves. I fill it to the top all at once, keep it wet and let it sit in the shade undisturbed for a year like compost should be. Since it vents almost too well you don't have to worry about it going anerobic. It makes great compost. And its diameter is adjustable should you need it smaller due to limited space. The height is perfect so it's not hard shoveling over the top. My only criticism is its flimsy and a pain to set up alone, not a deal breaker by any means. If you have help it's not bad and once its set up and full it's as sturdy as needed. I would recommend this to anyone who gardens and composts. If you do garden, you ABSOLUTELY should be making your own compost instead of buying it. These days you never know what's in the store-bought compost. And do not disturb it for a year once its full.

Holds a lot of leaves and grass!
Relatively easy to set-up. The included stakes are not long enough to support the bin. Had to add my own gardening stakes in order to give the bin the needed support and stability.

Easy to Assemble Large Compost Bin
A friend recommended this one. It’s easy to assemble and was shipped quickly. The 3 metal rods that supports the bin & the rubber material that encloses the bin are well made. The material is slitted so installing the rods is easy. Our friend says the 3 rods are sufficient & hold the composting material well as the bin fills up. Given that the rods which become slightly shorter than the top of the bin when driven into the ground my wife & I decided to add several snow taller snow stakes. One to give it a more rounded shape as well as to make it sturdier. It was easy to weave in the additional stakes as there are ample vertical slits in the material to weave them through. It looks great, we’re in the process of filling it up & when it’s complete it will yield a lot of compost. The material should easily last for years & is easily mobile when we want to move it to start a second batch. Very reasonable priced & quality materials.

Works but needed additional rods that are more robust.
This works but I had to modify it somewhat. The product only comes with 3 rods which is grossly lacking to hold up the lattice. It needs at least 6 rods. They are also very small in diameter and needed to be at least another 6 inches longer in order to drive them down deep enough to stabilize the lattice. I had to buy additional rods that were more robust and longer which solved the problem.

So good I own 3
As an avid gardener, I have been learning about composting and wanted to try it but didn’t have a lot of tools or wood to build one. I purchased my first VIVOSUN 300 Gallon Outdoor Compost bin 4 years ago, and quickly realized how great they were, and ordered a second one to keep near the chicken coop. This is the third one I have ordered and all of them have held up, despite the deer, chickens and dogs jumping into them for scraps. I usually just unclip the bin, move it over to my new spot and turn the compost into that bin. I move the compost bin maybe once every 6 months because I’m not using it too often and helps me process all kinds of scraps, animal waste, leaves and such. It is easy to use, lightweight, and fits anywhere I need to put it.

Save your money
You can get the same basic snow fence/garden fence at Home Depot for a fraction of the cost. The plastic rods don’t insert into the ground well without predrilling a hole. Use rebar or a t-post instead. Doesn’t stand up, looks bad.

Nice compost bin
This is a good product. It is as described. It is somewhat easy to put together. There are three metal rods to hold it in place in the ground that are a bit difficult to weave through the plastic mesh but I did it with a screwdriver to assist. So far, I've already filled it above the top level and underestimated how big of a compost bin I would need. My expectations have been met. I don't know how long it will take for all the leaves to decompose.

Was easy to set up and is exactly as described.

The install was nothing but sweat, screams and punching the air but once you got it all installed and pegged into the earth, the product works really well. Just make sure you add at least 1/4 vegetation or earth material otherwise it will start to cave in from the top. I'm only using it to mix and overwinter all my raised bed soil, adding more material like leaves, table scraps and grass clippings. I'm not looking to compost but to rot and mix. The material is really flexible and difficult to control during installation, I suggest 1 or 2 helpers.

So far so good! I’ve had two for one full year. I put chicken wire on the bottom to deter mice from trying to get in. The black blends in nicely, and makes them less noticeable. They could come with more stakes to keep it secure. I had to add my own to keep it’s shape

Because I am an old female with no muscle strength, I found it difficult to unroll and set up. But finally managed and I am really happy with it. Anchor bars work well and are keeping it in place. I am already turning the compost. It will be easy to move and set it up somewhere else to do more composting.

Item is freestanding and requires some effort to unroll and assemble for one person. Otherwise does what it's meant for. Poles need to be reinforced as they may give under pressure depending on compost content.
