I am a 33 waist and the 34-36 size is as close as it was possible to order, a 32-34 may have been a little too tight at times and therefore it was wise to choose very slightly bigger than actual waist size just one inch bigger than necessary. The kilt double strap buckles are on the very first hole from the kilt edge meaning I cannot tighten any more as they are, however if my waist became any wider I can always release the belts into the other additional belt holes . I can also wear a belt using the kilt belt strap loops if it becomes necessary later on, but for now the kilt fits perfectly without a belt in place. Remember to take great care not to cut the kilt itself when you release the thread holding the kilt pleats near the bottom hem of the kilt. The kilt will not swish until the bottom pleat kilt thread is totally removed by carefully making one cut only of the thread, and then slowly pulling it all out of all the pleats without heavily pulling on or attempting to break the thread! The kilt arrived in near perfect condition and arrived a few days after ordering just as promised. Do not wash or dry clean the kilt regardless of any so called advice! Just lightly damp sponge it clean and only as necessary! No washing or drying in machines! Overall good quality material and workmanship and highly recommend this seller and manufacturer! Do not use fashionable or any other kilt pins! Not necessary and will only make noticeable and unsightly holes in the kilt! 24 inch kilt as advertised medium weight and will last a long time if properly cared for! I will update this review later when I see how well it holds up to wearing frequently! The only down side was extremely sloppy poorly finished stitching on the turned up hem of the apron and the back pleats hem, with multiple long loose threads hanging down below the kilt ,but serving no purpose. With great care they can be snipped off with sharp scissors but should not be pulled! Take great care not to cut any stitches which holds the hem in place, if in doubt do not cut any threads or stitches but snip off any excess which hangs below and is visible below the bottom edge of the kilt! Finally do not ever attempt to wet wash these kilts, the results will very likely be disastrous !? It will ruin the pleats permanently! Also if too slack at the waist there is enough belt on the 2 buckles side to make one additional hole where the straps join to the kilt! If too tight at the waist you likely ordered a wrong size!? Great quality and price and feels heavy and substantial ,and looks fabulous with the correct accessories it could not look better!

Heavier than I expected. In a good way. Silk lining at the waist, nicer buckles and straps than I thought they would be, and the tartan pattern matches up very well at the pleats. I didn't see it mentioned in the description, but it also came with flashes.There is a basting thread to keep the pleats in place during shipment, make sure you carefully remove it.Except for having no wool in the blend, this kilt is easily the equal of another one I have that was twice the cost.Pay attention to the measuring instructions and buy with confidence.

Had to re-ordered a size smaller from this kilt since this was a bit loose with buckles fully tightened. The heavy weight of kilt fabric caused it to slip down from navel area where worn fairly easily. Glad it is heavy, full kilt, but the “smaller” size is more secure with buckles at first or second buckle hole (loosest). Nice construction and fabric, otherwise. Look forward to wearing it.

I think this kilt is the best grade I have seen at this price. Sizing is right on for this fat boy at 37" at a large. Heavy and great material whatever polyviscose is.

Purchased this for the Renaissance fair. Well made and very comfortable. Advise that you measure your waist per the makers instructions, there is only about a 3 inch adjustment built in. Good quality and price.

I looked at several reviews of this company before buying. I know that a PV Kilt is definitely a casual wear item. With fairly good reviews. I went ahead and took the chance. The kilt fits and is well constructed. The lining in comfortable. The straps are a bit thin more like dress glove leather. Now to the big issue. The pleats in the kilt are poorly done. It is almost like this was a first attempt with this tartan. I know welsh patterns are uncommon. However you can see from the pictures that it is not even close. I will still wear it. However I will have to look for a better St David's Day wear kilt.

I was pleasantly surprised by the authenticity of the kilt for the price. I could tell by the heft of the package that it was more substantial than expected. The tartan is perfect!

Very nice Kilt and great quality, could be a little looser but that is the only problem with booking on line.

Superior quality kilt… but heavy. If looking for a comfortable summer kilt might want to go with a 5 yard kilt, for a formal indoor weeding or winter/ fall kilt this is the perfect fit.

This kilt met my expectations and is perfect for informal gatherings.
