i don't usually write reviews on products i buy on amazon but i just have to do one for this one. I purchased this zip to replace the closed-end zipper on my jacket. The zip was straight forward to fit on the end of the zip line but the jacket would not zip up when i pass it through the open end zip. I tried repeatedly to make it work, but to no avail.

Overall, I am pleased with this. The item had no information as to where to get instructions from, so there were just some basic unhelpful pictures on the packaging. A web search or three later (to get one that was easy to follow) was required.Basically, on a trouser zipper, you need to ensure that the zipper has anough teeth connected before you put the pull on.One thing that none of the videos appreciates is that the zip you are mending might be installed into an unforgiving pair of leather motorbike trousers. Nor were there any hints and tips such as, when zipping a zipper together by hand, there is a right and wrong way (the teeth on a zipper join together better when one side is placed over the other - which side your zipper works best with I can't say, but now you know).The metal loop could not be installed to get the zipper going, so this was done with no aid.Once the zipper teeth are back on track, you need to losen the adjuster on the puller in order for it to work smoothly. Then you (with difficulty) thread the cord through and make the plastic puller part.It all sounds very complicated, but it does work - and this was on possibly the most difficult of heavy duty zips. For the money I paid it was worth the hassle.

I've got a big vinyl duffel bag used for diving and caving gear. Salt water had made the sliders corrode and get stuck. Was sceptical that this replacement would be able to zip the teeth all the way to the start of the zip - but it does and works great.Hardest part was cutting off the old slider. This was a tiny bit fiddly to install - but once on, works perfectly. Saved having to spend the thick end of 100 quid to replace the bag.Only improvements I'd suggest - make a heavy duty version that has a bit more meat where the pull toggle attaches and in doing so supply a stronger split ring.Very pleased.

Really good idea, just not cut for what I wanted though.It seems to jam up a fair bit. Not a bad price if it works for others, I may just have a one off faulty one perhaps?

Used to fix a wetsuit zip. Relatively easy to use and definitely worth buying. I used the large size.Only downside is the extra bit of hinged plastic in the kit. It looks like a covering for the zip but no mention of it in the instructions or the video online, I can't work out how to fit it and it's a waste of money and plastic. The zip on it's own is great. Delivery was quick too.

I purchased this zip replacement, having slammed the car door on my new coat busting the pull zipper. I could not get the new ones to work. Contacted the seller/maker who sent out more zips and further instructions. Still couldn’t get them to work. It would seem zip size is very critical in every case. I gave up, swallowed the cost and had a new complete sip fitted to the coat. Lesson learned.

Very disappointed with this item. had previously obtained 4 medium FnZs from manufacturer for my suitcases. couldn't get em to fit. praps wrong size so bought large size....definitely too big...back to medium..remeasured zip...should be right size...several very sore finger tips later managed to fit one....despite several adjustments .....sometimes it closed the zip but more often than not it didn't. Couldn't therefore be relied on..........put the purchase down to a bad experience.......as a life long DIYer I thought the FixnZip was the answer to my prayers....should have bought new suit cases, probably would have been cheaper!!

A pesar de pensar que no funcionaría y a la desesperada la compre . Pues a mi me funciono ( en concreto para una cocina portátil de camping ) . Estoy muy contento porque puedo abrir y cerrar la cocina .

El zipper funciona correctamente, excelente calidad, la descripcion de paquete de 3 es engañosa, no son 3 zippers, el paquete incluye 3 piezas que son, un zipper, una argolla y un cordon para jalar el zipper.

Works very well. But remember that it matters which way it's clamped on relative to the zipper. I.e. there's a right side up and a wrong side up. The handle can be attached on either side, so it works either way just as well.Note that if you put it on an inside-out (flat part outside) zipper, the screwhead goes on the inside, which is weird, but ultimately works much better than having it on wrong. I wish this was cheaper, but they do have a killer niche covered and I've ordered more.
