Bosch 2607019329 Titanium-Set "X-Line" (70 Piece)

Let me start off by stating here and now that I’m a keen DIYer, and not a professional. So, I just needed a good range of bits to serve me well on the various projects I’m always carrying out in my home and garden. In addition, I’m forever doing jobs round at my elderly father’s place, which often involves drilling and screwing. Like a lot of guys and gals, I probably spent far too much time ‘researching’ the wide variety of drill bit sets available on Amazon, before deciding that this one from Bosch offered the best bang for my buck. One problem I found was that even the big brand name sets had their critics, and confusingly, it’s that negative feed-back that often makes it to the top of the review pile. It’s a fact though that high-volume products are bound to get a few ‘duds’ slipping through the net - so that has to be taken in to account when making a choice. After checking out LOTS of tool review sites, this 70-piece Bosch set invariably came out as the No1 recommendation for the DIYer. Anyway, that’s why I eventually decided to order this one, an added bonus was that Amazon were selling it at way below the RRP.So, in practice, was this set worth buying? You bet it was! These last few days I’ve been working away like a busy bee in my garage/workshop/man cave. My first job was to build a small engineering work bench, to fit alongside my large woodworking bench (hand-built by myself). I’ve also been mounting additional magnetic strips on the garage walls (great for organising and holding hand tools). In addition, I’ve been mounting steel brackets on the walls to hold all the various lengths and sizes of timber I’ve accumulated over the years. All these tasks have had me reaching for a bit out of my Bosch box, and each time I was able to get my hands on the appropriate one for the job. Oh, and each bit, whether it was a wood, masonry, metal, spade or screwdriver bit, performed admirably. So, I’m very pleased that I invested in this box of tricks from Bosch, and accordingly I have no reservations about recommending this drill bit set to fellow Amazon customers. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I bought these mainly as I'd just bought a Bosch drill and was (mostly) impressed with the quality. These bits are robust, appear to be remaining sharp/undamaged, and are packed in a reasonably robust case. A fine, comprehensive set of bits and pieces that seem to work as they should - not tried them all yet.The small drill bits are strong - I've broken loads of these before but these ones have survived - so far. The screwdriver bits are durable and more likely to strip the screw head than be damaged themselves. This is a problem with poor quality screws as you end up having to remove them with pliers. Not the fault of the bits though.Care is required with getting the drill bits out as the hinged holder is difficult to grip and the bits are super sharp. It's very easy to cut yourself getting them in and out. A similar problem exists with the screwdriver bits as the fit for the plastic holders is tight and it takes a fair amount of messing about to get them back in - you can't get the bits out without removing the plastic holder first.Overall a quality of product as expected from Bosch.

I am not the most ardent DIYer, let alone somebody who does those tasks professionally.That being the case, I don't want to take out a second mortgage to buy the most expensive, highest specification equipment on the market.Even so, I still want to do a decent job and have learned that it is still important to invest enough to get something of good quality - otherwise it just ends us as a bodged job and false economy.For anyone like me, these represent an ideal solution.Bosch are renowned for consistently producing quality products. I have owned a good number of Bosch appliances over the years and they have always delivered.This set ticks all of the boxes for me:* Impressive quality.* Versatile - A great range of bits that will cover all of my requirements and more for many years to come.* Well packaged for long-term storage.* Reasonably priced.Easy to recommend and I hope you find these comments helpful.

The drill bits set at first feels like great quality from the outside with sturdy packaging thats great for keeping everything together and easy to carry when travelling.The first bit I used however snapped. I have very little experience with drilling so this could have been due to user error however I was only drilling a piece of fairly soft wood which they should have been able to handle with ease.Although the packaging is great from the outside, a lot of the places that hold the screw driver bits weren't quite the right size which meant the plastic packaging came slightly bent in order for them to fit. This also meant that you have to bend it even more when you remove them to get a bit out as it is almost impossible to pull the screwdriver bits out by hand without removing the rubber holder they're in and pushing from the bottom.I have only used a couple bits so far and although not the greatest quality, I would recommend to anyone who just needs to use a drill every now and then around the house due to the great variety of bits at a resonable price.
