High quality, genuine like for like replacement
I know some reviewers think their product might not be genuine, but I'm convinced of the quality of this replacement part. You can see from the photos I have attached that this is like for like brand new. I am sentimentally attached to this watch as it has been through an awful lot with me, and the previous strap had finally failed after 10+ years. It feels like new again! Let's see if it can survive another 5 tough mudders, sea and wild swimming, several thousand miles of running, childbirth (might skip that one!) and years of allotment gardening and DIY.

Genuine replacement strap, watch back to normal.
Genuine Replacement Casio strap for my G shock. Original strap has lasted over 10 years with daily wear including regular surfs in the sea. Hope the replacement lasts well too. Fairly straightforward to fit if a bit fiddly getting the pins to go back in securely.Speedy delivery, Amazon box way too big for a small watchstrap (and wouldn’t fit through letterbox) but at least it was cardboard and not unnecessary plastic.

Brilliant
Okay, read reviews before purchase, I personally have no reason to think these are not genuine - it is just like having a new watch again! Straps replace the originals for my 11 year old watch, which has been through a lot. Was first Father’s Day gift so huge relief to find these and for them to be so good. Easy to replace, just release the pins via the underside of strap. If considering this purchase, my view is you won’t regret it.

I'm pleased that I have been able to get a replacement ...
I'm in two minds about this! I'm pleased that I have been able to get a replacement for an irreplaceable watch. But then again, I'm not sure that this is indeed a genuine Casio version. The packaging was all there with the Casio logo etc but anyone can forge these days especially the Chinese. What makes me suspicious is that the strap doesn't seem to have that heavy rubber and if I remember correctly, curved out of the box look. The original strap always bent around itself and kept the circular shape. Also, on c!ose inspection of the buckle, the small indented Casio logo etched into the metal does not look as sharp as the original that I compared the two with. Looks more like the difference between a fake pound coin where the outer text is not as sharp giving it away as not genuine. That said, what can you do? The option was not to wear it on my wrist or buy a new watch. I will go out on a limb and say its not genuine but a very good copy. If that's the case then its not worth the price as these could be manufactured for pennies. I will say though that if you decide to keep wearing your beloved watch, then this is the only practical choice other than buy a whole new one which are hard to get hold of. As they say, the choice is yours.

Fitting was relatively easy using a small flat bladed jeweller's screwdriver
This is exactly the same as the original strap when I purchased the watch around 8 years ago.Fitting was relatively easy using a small flat bladed jeweller's screwdriver. Care is needed to avoid bending or damaging the two original 'spindles' that attach the strap to the watch, though that should be expected. It is difficult to sat whether or not it represents good value for money, however as all local jewellers/watch repair services would not do the strap fitting (saying it had to go back to Casio) on balance probably is good value

What it says on the tin
A perfect replacement Casio watch strap. The spring-bars aren't the easiest to get to, but I still fitted it myself with only a kitchen knife.Personally, I did bash my watch around a fair bit (swimming pools, extreme temperatures) and the original strap lasted me at least 5+ years. I will update this review when this new replacement strap brakes, I have no intention of buying a new watch, I love this thing. They aren't made with nearly as much thought as the main unit, but still good enough to last a few years, and look good in my opinion =)

Genuine part
Casio Genuine Resin Replacement Watch strap For G shock watch.Originasl strap lasted 6 1/2 years with daily use so will expect the same with this. A bit fiddly to replace but with a bit of perserverence it was done with a very small screwdriver. Many You tube videos to show you how but it's the same principal of all watch straps to place one end in the locating hole and press down opposite end with tiny screwdriver and gently locate in hole. 10 minute job max

Not sure on the economics of this...
Not sure on the economics of this...spending ~15 quid on a couple of bits of plastic that probably cost 40p to make to fit to an old watch that I could replace for 39.99 (at the time of writing) but I did it anyway. The watch has been through a lot with me, including being resuscitated in A&E (me, not the watch), so I wanted to keep it.Be aware that as you pull the old watch straps off you will see a fearsome amount of old skin cells and general gunk that collects under the straps in generous proportions. Washing this off reveals the little spring loaded clips that hold it in place. You will probably lose at least one of these, seriously consider dismantling the watch under a tablecloth or in a pillow case so when they ping they don't end up behind the cupboard at the other end of your kitchen. These can be replaced though, also on Amazon.Replacing the straps once springy rods have been re-inserted requires some brute strength to get them to clip into the right holes but then you're back in the game. I really feel Casio could go the extra mile and make the straps of a rubber/plastic that didn't disintegrate after 2 -4 years but while there are mugs like me willing to pay for replacements I guess they never will.
