Very effective at reflecting heat/sun
Perfect. Arrived in pristine condition. Iโve purchased multiple rolls over the years for various projects and will probably order more in the future. You can use it for just about anything and these rolls are thick enough to make the price worth it. Itโs especially helpful in hot climates where you want to reflect the sun away from windows/etc.

Works perfectly between stove and fridge to deflect heat!
My new place is set up with no divider between the stove and fridge. When using the oven, my refrigerator would soar to 45-47 degrees Fahrenheit inside! It would take a while to cool back off, too, endangering everything in it. This reflective material is lightweight, nontoxic, and just the ticket for this application. It was *exactly* the right width, shipped in a roll with no folds or creases, which made installation super easy! I just measured the height and cut it off with scissors. I also ordered a $3 pack of double-sided sticky dots to affix it to the fridge and they worked perfectly. Itโs been a few weeks, and even with the stove top going *and* the oven running at 425, the interior of the fridge never budges over 36-37. Fantastic!

I've bought many rolls and sizes of this stuff over close to thirty years. It seriously rocks!
I never use the foregoing expression, but I will make an exception for this stuff. There is eight feet of it up in my bedroom window as I write this, to keep the sun out of my face in the morning, and to reflect the often brutal summertime heat back to the sun. I have insulated attics, roofs, and hot water pipes with this stuff, and it makes a good water heater blanket, though it's even better taped around a conventional fiberglas shroud, in my experience, sealing up the pipes and anchoring the bottom with both narrow strips of Reflectix and aluminum tape. In fact, one can, with a little extra artistic flourish, make one's water heater look like a robot. It's also good for blocking and grounding electromagnetic fields--that much I know. It might even be of some use in constructing a Faraday cage, but I can't say for sure (I don't work for Raytheon, the Ryan Lab, or "The PG and the E", unless I do it in my sleep and they keep the paycheck). --I hope the manufacturer of this product has a commitment to refine the ingredients, as more sustainable plastics and glues become available, and to support environmentally sustainable aluminum mining. The poor Earth is going to hell in a handbasket, and both practical wisdom and the book of Genesis make it clear we are to care for the world around us, whether we view it as God's Creation or simply our home. That said, I would have to rate this as one of the consistently best products of any kind I have purchased in my 71 years.

Effective but not cheap
We used this in our travel trailer. This has no actual insulation value but does reflect some heat due to its shiny surface. We used it in the windows to prevent sun fading and in the upper cabinets to try and prevent heat buildup. It definitely blocks light, and the cabinets seem somewhat less warm. The only downsides are cost and the strong tape needed to secure it.

Cover those portable ac hoses and save yourself some $$$
I cut and used this to cover my 6 foot portable ac exhaust hose in my bedroom. I purchased the ac last summer and this is my first experience with a portable style. I live in the desert southwest where 105 is a mild summer day. Ugh! The ac put out a lot of wonderful cool air BUT the exhaust hose put out a lot of terrible heat into the same space. It seemed so counterproductive to me. They do make sleeves to cover the exhaust hose that you can purchase for 85.00 and up. I only paid 200 for the brand new ac. I don't like to buy things that can be taken care of in a cheaper way. I cut the pieces and fit for the curves in the hose. I was able to use full pieces on the straight parts of the hose. I used aluminum duct tape that can withstand heat to tape the pieces together. It has held great! Our 110 degree days did not loosen the tape. Yeah! I can't tell you just how much this allowed my ac to cool my bedroom even more. I was so impressed that I bought another roll and did my children's bedroom ac exhaust hose. The baby monitor detects its 10-12 degrees cooler in the room than before I covered it. My electric bill also dropped 34.00 compared to last year with all things the same inside and outside. I highly recommend anyone using a portable ac covers the exhaust hose with this product!

Versatile - many uses outside of car camping window covers!
Reflectix is of course, super popular for car camping/vanlife window covers and that is what I got it for - works great. However, we just started a really hot streak, and I found it very useful in my house too! I put it on the sides of my window A/C unit AND to cover my sunlight, which was streaming in the hot sun. I think a great product update would be to offer it black on one side and silver on the other. So many users have to figure out a way to darken one side for stealth/looks/etc.

Lowers Utility Bills
This is a great product, and I wish I would have thought of buying thermal drapes/blackout drapers earlier in my renting career. I live in an apartment in Humboldt County that was built for high 40-degree weather at night. The last few months the temp has dipped in to the low-40s, low-30s, and high-20s. I had my thermostat set to 64-66 degrees with no drapes or blinds for my windows, and my utility bill was going to be $527. I bought this Reflectix and thermal drapes for both bedrooms, lowered my temp to 61-63 degrees and my utility bill has been $133 (bought the drapes and Reflectix halfway through the month), then my utility bill was $112 last month. I am also not really using my oven (just the stove top), and I bought a good toaster oven that can bake/air-fry/toast/warm/convection bake etc. I put it over the windows like drapes, using thumbtacks to hold it on the wall, the clothespin is so I can lift up the Reflectix and clip it in place up top, and then it lets some sunshine in. The Reflectix and drapes keep the heater or AC inside, and keep the heat or cold out. The only way to circumnavigate the political grid-lock and corporate greed is to weatherize your home or apartment with affordable options like these.

the product works
there is nothing to dislike about this product, measure cut and place, very simple, and if you need to join together, just tape and your good to go, there are so many applications, right now I have a section in my cabinetry in my RV, that is very warm and I am placing it inside against the side that get a lot of sun, did this prior and it worked, cut just slightly larger and it just forms to it and no need to glue or nail and when you need to, you can just remove with fuss, I know I will be buying again.
