I bought this as we really needed something to do the task of keeping half-opened bottles of fizz fresh, but this isn't it. We have tried it on 11 different bottles now and it cannot grip any of them. Any amount of pressure whatsoever and it falls off. Completely useless at the one task it is designed to do.

In a word. Useless! Every time I place it over a bottle and secure it - the stopper pops off. Today it flew in to the air and landed on my wooden top surface, denting it! I put it straight in the bin.

Bought this at the end of July 2019, used once in October then tried to use in Feb 2020 (3 times) the pump has gone!Do not waste your time buying this rubbish.

I was intrigued by this product. I work in the drinks trade and have used Champagne servers, stoppers and pourers for many years. Unfortunately this is the cheapest iteration I've seen yet. Other reviews mentioning the sharpness/thinness of the metal are correct (I also nearly cut myself, as others have). The metal connections are loose and the product simply does not grip on multiple bottles. I'd also question the efficacy of the pump system - in most cases you don't aerate Champagne or sparkling wines. I would love to see a good, affordable Champagne and sparkling wine preserver on the market, regrettably this is not it. Avoid.

I am used to normal champagne stoppers and thought I would give I a go. The metal used is really thin and it just does not do the job. I liked the idea of adding the pressure to stop it going flat, but this did not work for me. It’s not cheap and I wish I had bought a normal champagne stopper for the money spent

Bought this for missus and her bottles of fizz (mostly cava and prosecco). It works very well. Other stoppers that simply seal the top do not work very well. The dissolved CO2 in a liquid will always equilibrate throughout the bottle as a whole [including the headspace], so even in a sealed bottle, CO2 will come out of suspension and into the headspace. This gadget pumps air into the bottle keeping the pressure up, so even after a long period when the gas [now CO2 and air] equilibrates, there is still plenty of CO2 kept in suspension. Great idea and great gadget.

I love this product, I use this when I want just one glass from a bottle and then clip it on the neck of the bottle and pump a few times to add air back to the bottle. It pops slightly when you next open but no where near as powerful as when you first pop the cork, but it does the job. Maintaining the fizz just long enough to finish the bottle in a week.

Have 3 now as I had to replace one as the valve fell out. Other than that a good product. Maybe just a faulty one. No not a faulty one. They are All the same! The central valve which is very small & white is secured in such a way as it pops out rendering the item unless! What a shame as otherwise it works as it says on the box!
