One of highest quality knives on Amazon.
I was looking for an EDC knife that that satisfied my 3 main interests.1. Legality - so the blade had to be less than 3 inches for me to able to carry it everyday without the need for good reason. So definitely UK legal.2. Belt clip - may sound petty but I needed a good sturdy belt clip (and one that wouldn't fall off from repeated standing and sitting) and this certainly qualifies. Very strong grip.3. Quality (obviously) have only had the blade for 24 hours or so but as other reviewers have said, you can rest assured you are getting a lot of quality for such a small price. The blade itself is quite attractive in my opinion -I have no doubt this can be touched up with a whetstone and honed properly - that's not to say it's not adequate out of the box. This is the perfect, basic, effective pocket knife as far as I am concerned. Well crafted, easy to sharpen, comfortable in the hand and the clever locking collar means that it stays firmly open or closed which makes it safer to use or carry.I first discovered them on Amazon, I soon became a fan and acquired one since eating out was beyond my budget most of the time and this meant that tricky foods, like the local iron-hard saucisson and ripe melons, could be dealt with with a modicum of decorum. This has resided in my tool box ever since and has been both useful and reliable whenever I needed to cut something. However I have oiled it to keep the blade from corroding so bought another in an effort to solve the problem I was having in sharpening pastel pencils. This seemed a possible solution to liking a long point on larger pencils with soft large diameter leads which sharpeners don't seem made to produce. This worked a treat. The blade-back is broad enough to push with one's thumb and carefully shave off curls of casing to expose the lead which can then be gently shaped with sandpaper. I am delighted with the results and feel better about using something that can be sharpened and reused than a product that needs new blades. This size is a good knife for camping, gardening and lots of other things and I recommend it even if you don't have pencils to sharpen.

A great Pocket Knife
Well at this price you do expect something good. I must admit to being a little nervous ordering this from just a photograph, but having now received the product, it's great. It is very well made and in fact the pictures don't really do justice to how nice this product actually is. The horn inset is well fitted and no gaps or steps. It arrived well packaged and with a coating of oil to protect the steel (it's not stainless !). As for sharpness, it arrived sharp enough to shave the hairs on my arm......will strop it later to see just how sharp it can be. What does let it down slightly is the leather sheaf which is not anywhere near the quality of the knife......it is synthetic leather and the back of the popper against the knife I suspect will scratch the horn insert if used, so will not be using it.

Impressed!
A very well made piece. It’s nice to see that the knife is made in Britain and is very well made. It arrived triple packed and then boxed and, well oiled! The knife itself is a thing of beauty, it’s is a good weight and has a very sharp blade.I am very impressed and will definitely consider buying more from this company (whom I must add have not heard of before)Included with the knife is a &good quality leather sheath with strong stitching. (Slightly bulky for the size of knife but very adequate)Top quality by a top company in my view!

Beautiful pocket knife
It is a beautiful folding knife, exquisitely made. It is very hard to become carbonaceous. The so-called became Damascus. A type of steel that consists of multiple layers of mild and carbon steel. Beautifully decorated blade etched with acid. The knife is not big but handy. Perfect for separating animal skins when you are trappers or for other tasks. However, for me it will be used rather to make me admire it or use it for some small household chores. The pocket knife is delivered with a leather pouch. Solidly made. If you need such a knife, I recommend it

Value in Beauty, and Function
Whether you believe that beauty is form or function this damascus knife from Perkins has both. The damascus is not only found in the blade but also in the bolsters as well. The natural horn scales are treated to preserve and enhance the appearance. Excellent file work starts on the blade back and follows through on the liners and back of the spring. As if this is not enough a lovely metallic mosaic escutcheon is found at the center of each scale. All of the above plus the accomplished design blend naturally to provide a tool that is very appealing to the eye.As if that isn't enough, the blade is razor sharp. On receiving the knife I immediately started to carve on a piece of cured English Rose wood. This is extremely hard and fibrous wood when cured. The Perkins blade went through this as if it were butter. Following this I dry shaved my face with no discomfort or injury. I m seventy and have a tough beard. This knife was a total surprise in both form and function. It won't be the last Perkins knife I purchase; you can bet money on that. All of that for the extremely reasonable price I paid. Do yourself a favor and try one - you won't be sorry.
