Review I would just like to take this moment to say thank you for the time and energy that has been put into these DVD s. My children have listened to them for many years now and have had hours of real enjoyment. We work (as foster parents) with children of all abilities and these have been used more than any other DVD. From my point of view I have found these DVD s amazing. There is a simplicity and innocence that is refreshing to see. The presenters are brilliant in the way that each song is introduced and performed. They have a ability to capture and hold the attention of our youngsters whilst maintaining the innocent fun-filled world of the child. So many thanks again. --S. Boothby by email

Brilliant.
I bought this for when I have my grand daughter at my house. It was an instant success and I'm surprised the DVD player hasn't worn out. My 2yr old grand daughter absolutely loves it and I think this is down to the characters (children and adult), locations and fun themes. I have another nursery rhymes DVD which is completely animated and although it has many of the same songs, she's not at all interested in it. On first watching, this DVD along with The Wheels on the Bus and Row your Boat was so well loved that at the end of the day when it was time for my grand daughter to go home - the DVDs had to go home with her. I think her parents thought I'd played a cruel joke on them after they'd had to endure the DVDs for the umpteenth time.....but now, they like me have also become quite fond of the rather 'stage school' children and the very silly (almost cringe worthy) adult character...you grow to love them!!! :)

Brilliant
I bought this DVD for my grandson who is 2yrs old. He loves it so much!!!!! We watch other things together too, but as soon as the other thing (whatever it may be) finishes he goes straight back to find this and asks me to put it back on again. He sings all the songs, dances and does all the actions. his favourite song is of course Twinkle Twinkle little star, he loves this one.I am so impressed with this DVD I am just about to buy him the others in the series. If your thinking of buying this GO FOR IT...I can assure you, you definitely won't be disappointed. Brilliant!!!!

Big Fan!
We got 3 of these DVD's when my daughter was a year old, and she loves them! Yes, "our friend" Tony certainly can make an adult cringe at times, BUT she LOVES it. I love that the children are all "real", not edited to make it sterile and slick. I think that's what makes it work. She's now 20 months and these are still her favourites! She sings along and copies the actions, dancing around the room. I love that she doesn't just sit and gaze at the TV.Whatever it is that keeps her entertained, I'm grateful!

RUBBISH AND DATED !!
I was under the impression that the dvd included dancing , to help teach my child to dance to nursery songs like in playgroups.. if you call dancing jumping up and down on a bed or throwing rubbish at a teacher in a dated classroom ( really good example to set ! ) then this is the dvd for you !This dvd looks like its taking the micky out of nursery songs especially when the man dresses like a mother to the children ( creepy ), it was obvious to me that the man in the film just wanted his so called claim to fame ... HATE FALSE ADVERTISEMENT especially when I purchased this for my 2 year old. Wouldn't recommend this dated rubbish to anyone !

16 songs to keep the children entertained!
I bought this for my 4 year old son because he likes singing and I thought he would enjoy it. The dvd features 16 songs most of which we knew already. The songs and dances are performed by a group of children who i'd say are all primary school age. My son really likes this dvd and it keeps him entertained for an hour which is good. The adults will have a laugh watching the man in this dvd aswell - let's just say he's a bit odd - typical kids tv performer I suppose!

This DVD has actual magical powers.
We avoid TV as a rule, but when our 10 month old is teething this is a wonderful distraction. We bought it at 9 month's and he has been transfixed from the off. When Tony comes on with Billy Bear our little boy chortles with delight. He absolutely adores this DVD, even when he has been screaming three days and night solid with his teeth this stops him in his tracks. I bought Never Smile at a Crocodile from the same series, but he doesn't like it as much. I have therefore ordered the wheels on the bus. I may have to get another copy for grandma's House.

Nursery Rhymes
Love the children on it not your usual over the top stage school type but the main character is so annoying bad. However, I am sure that when you are under five, you do not notice that. Could have been more imaginative with the choice of nursery rhymes.

Grandaughter loves it.
When I first viewed this dvd, I thought it was really amateurish. It was less than £5 so I wasn't too annoyed. I bought it for my 12month old grandaughter. As soon as we put it on she was entranced. She can't take her eyes off it even after several viewings. It just goes to show that you never know what will hold their attention. Brilliant! Am going to buy the others now! I think it's probably best for the 1-3 age group. They're probably too sophisticated after that.
