Great price and well made for pour over coffee!
I just started making pour over coffee to get rid of plastic parts and I’m very impressed with this Bodum carafe. It’s the right size for making 5 cups of coffee or less, the stainless steel filter works great, the cork sleeve protects your hand and is well made and the price is very reasonable. I know I have to be mindful to take care of it because it’s borosilicate glass. I love the ritual of making coffee with this and my new gooseneck kettle. Very happy customer!

The Best Coffee I ever had !
Searching for a great cup of coffee has been a very long quest for me. I have been using the standard style electric drip coffee maker for over 50 years. I had gone though several of the under $100 dollar popular makers and the coffee was pretty much standard issue, regardless of all the comments and claims. I broke down and purchased a very nice French Press, as I had coffee from these and was very pleased. When it came - I then began the research of "all of the work" required to get the press coffee just right - bottom line - "No Way" I do not have this type of time in the morning just to get a decent cup of coffee ! Enter this fantastic and simple product! Yes, it requires a little more work than just pressing the button on standard coffee-maker - but the little extra work is very well worth the effort! The supplied micro-mesh stainless reusable filter is beautiful, but I add a non-bleached cone filter - I like finely ground fresh coffee. Using an electric kettle, it is both easy and rewarding to irrigate the grounds and see what your doing - no way an electric automatic coffee-maker can do this. In a few minutes, I was stunned by just how great my regular coffee grind tasted. The build quality is excellent and I very highly recommend this coffee maker.

Fantastic pour over kit! Added my own electric kettle I bought separately and good to go!
Perfect pour over kit. Comes with a small scoop for grounds. A cork protector to keep your hands cool when pouring from the hot glass of coffee, an adjustable cord to keep the cork in place and for aesthetics, and a reusable metal filter. It was so easy to set up! It’s a durable kit. Just be careful and handle the glass with caution. The taste of the coffee is amazing! Especially when I grind the coffee beans myself. It’s fairly easy to clean! Either on the top rack of the dishwasher, or with a long bottle brush to get into the glass carafe. All items in the kit can run through your dishwasher for sanitizing, besides the cork and the adjustable cord. The filter, carafe, and scoop can all go in it. Love this kit! I also got an electric kettle to make my coffee faster in the morning. It heats up in about 3 mins! I switched to pour over after getting rid of multiple keurigs I’ve had over the years. I feel like pour over is much cleaner and fresher than a keurig! Happy with my purchase!!

nice little coffee maker
It is a nice little coffee maker that works well for one person - I'd bump up to a larger one if regularly brewing coffee for more than one, though. The stainless steel filter lets too much sediment through for my taste, but using a paper filter with it makes a good cup of coffee. Very easy to clean. The glass is quite nice but feels extremely light weight and delicate. Even with it being borosilicate glass, I preheat it with hot tap water while the kettle is heating up and put it on a cork trivet or wooden cutting board to minimize temperature shock that might occur with a cold countertop. It won't replace my regular coffee maker, but it will be perfect for taking on road trips and as a backup brewer.

Loving my coffee again!
This thing is fantastic! Yeah it takes an extra minute or two in the morning, but it’s actually way quicker than I thought and the coffee tastes great (better than our local big-name coffee shops for sure, what’re they doing nowadays?). The smaller size is perfect for two people to have a cup each and a little extra and you can easily add a bit more afterwards and/or reuse the grounds for another weaker steep so you’re really getting your money’s worth out of the beans. It’s super easy to use, stupid easy and quick to clean (I’m still annoyed with the French press we got rid of), don’t have to buy disposable filters and wonder what chemicals are in them or how they’re affecting flavor, it’s just metal and glass touching the coffee. And on top of all that, it’s super cute! It’s a nice aesthetic little piece to have sitting on the counter and easily portable and moved wherever you need it, unlike these big ugly machine coffee makers that more often than not just end up taking space and what little outlets you have access to. The only thing is I wish it had a designated cover to keep out dust and such when not in use. Other than that, this thing is a dream!

The best
I use a French press. needed to control the bad oils that come from coffee that clog the arteries and raise the LDL. Doc said I needed to filter my coffee through paper to absorb the oil (which it does 95%). My French Press is Bodum so I stayed with them. Love the looks and the brew compacity for 1-2 cups, depending on your size of cup. It takes #2 paper filter, or you can use a #4. I think the coffee quality is even better since I filter it.

Tedious process equals only warm coffee
There is good and not so good about this coffee maker, though it is not reflecting on the quality of this particular model. Rather, this type of coffee maker and also the size can be misleading. First, note that you CANNOT make 2 average size mugs of coffee in this small pot. Not gonna happen. Figure, tops, 1.25 - 1.5 cups. So it was smaller than I anticipated as I like to make 2 cups with 1 cup leftover for iced coffee the next day. Next, is the process. It takes a while. The hot water (I boil the water, then after it stops boiling, pour it over the coffee) cools fast as the filtering process is SLOW. By the time all the water is passed through the coffee into the pot, figure on very warm, but not hot, coffee. I tried coffee filters so I could easily scoop up the used grounds and toss in my compost bin, but it kept folding over and was a mess... so don't use paper filters. Clean up is easy, however. How did the coffee taste? VERY good. Waaaay better than the plastic-infused off-taste of a Mr. Coffee that I returned after numerous attempts at cleaning, running water and vinegar to get that bad taste out failed. But this coffee maker fell way short of my expectations. It may be just fine for some folks, but for me, it was a fail overall.
