Ease to aid putting the sock on.
These compression socks are effective. The sock is very firm and it is difficult to pull up to the thigh. It does reduce swelling. My husband uses a tool, RIIME that is curved like the calf area on the leg, that he puts the sock on first, inserts his foot in to the toes, and the tool has 2 ropes that he pulls the sock up the leg. He can then adjust position on his leg. While the temperatures are warm he applies body powder on his leg to smooth the pull up.

The Best TED Thigh High hose anti embolism stockings.
I bought Doc Miller TED Thigh High hose because they were highly recommended by my visiting nurse after my hip replacement. They are very comfortable and very affordable. Not difficult to put on either. Very highly recommended- excellent seller.

Elastic band is tight
The elastic band at the top is tight especially for women who have a little fat in their thighs.

Comfortable Compression is hard to find-THIS IS IT!
You could pay 6 or more times as much for mild support hose BUT WHY WOULD YOU? These arrived today along with the $49 pair from another brand that I decided to try. Well, this is the FIRST and ONLY milder support hose that I have put on and then NOT tried to decide whether to cut off the top band or the foot of the hose because the stockings hurt so much.. THESE ACTUALLY PROVIDE MILD AND COMFORTABLE SUPPORT out of the bag. I have mild to moderate varicose veins but they hurt without support hose. These are the first pair out of 15 tries that have felt snug but comfortable and relieve the pain. If you need mild compression, try these first, then spend $50 to $100 on another brand if you want to...but make sure you can return that expensive brand since I think you will love these. Yes, I did try a surgical process for these veins for which the surgeon charged me a phenomenal amount of money for NO RESULTS. Another detail that might be helpful- I am 5'10" tall and weigh 145 lbs so for me, these are just absolutely on target size wise. And no, I did not get anything free for saying this but if you need mild compression, try these first.

Was very happy with my purchase
Super comfy, very breathable, easy to clean, and supportive. I used this on my leg after surgery and liked the way it gave me peace of mind and didn't feel too tight or pinch or any other discomfort. I wore it under the full leg brace, and then after I got the brace off. It was comfortable both ways.
