The Redemption Man (Gabe Devlin Thrillers) Paperback – 16 July 2021

Wow what an amazing read, I've enjoyed it from the first page to the last, the characters are all well written and the story never bores. I'm starting the second book in this series and I can't wait, oh and if ever a book needed to be made into a film this is the one, Mr Carver you are 1st Class Sir!

This was a decent crime thriller. Gabe Devlin is a good main character and having him as a priest certainly adds a different aspect to the usual "loner/vigilante" genre. It's a well written book and the story itself was interesting. I did however that it was missing that "wow" factor, and I can't quite put my finger on why- Gabe was a good character, the side characters were all fine, the action sequences maybe just weren't what I expected, I maybe wanted more. There's also a slight, I wouldn't call it supernatural, but, aura around Gabe (I don't want to spoil anything for potential readers so will leave it at that). I'm assuming that is explored in further books.

Decent read for a first book of a series. Lots of these around after Reacher...drifter wanders into town, sorts its problems out and drifts off again. A twist with this one being a preacher but again, this has been done already. We shall see how it develops but storyline was good.

Good action novel very similar to Reached books, but with a supernatural twist. Enjoyable easy read if sometimes rather predictable.

I enjoyed this story, good characters, great tale, let's see how the next three compare, worth reading. Let's go Devlin

Excellent book. Just a tad violent towards the end but I just read faster. Looking forward to the next in the series.

I'm not Gabriel Devlin but I do know what I would do. The Redemption Man is an excellent story of a man who refuses to give in to his to what his religion calls sins but any sane person would call his right to true justice. And let God or the Devil be his judge in this battle of good versus the ultimate evil. In this brilliant story of good verses evil, the sick abuse of power and where wealth talks the loudest. Gabe and an attractive female reporter team up to bring down a crooked sadistic American politician in this brilliant thriller with plenty of sexual undertones running between them but will Gabe give in and break his monastic vows in this incredibly powerful action packed good versus evil story.

I liked this, gabe is a very likable character, not going to rush into the next book into the series, but will definitely pick up at a later stage
