Works well and good price
I purchased this to register a new battery for my BMW X5. I followed the instructions from another reviewer on this site. I used Bimmercode and Bimmerlink. I noticed that once I have connected the adapter to one app, I needed to actually disconnect in that app before I can connect in another app. If you are having problems connecting, make sure to disconnect the adapter from the app you're using, before trying to connect to another app. You can also try turning your phone off and back on. I am happy with the product and the price.

No instructions provided
I hate admitting that I could not figure out how to operate this device. No instructions are provided with the product. While it is possible that you can get this device working following instructions found in other reviews, the lack of even basic use instructions is a huge negative.

Works ok if you know what you are doing
I am on the fence with this one. I knew what to expect and it was still a little fiddly to get it connected and working as I expected but it does work. It's ok for the price, but others in a similar price range have dedicated apps that are better for a beginner or if you are going with Bimmercode then I feel like you might as well spend a little more and get something you know you can rely on but that's my opinion. I think all of the reviewers so far have had similar experiences with this thing so that says a lot. There are just more reliable options out there and with no instructions it's definitely not for a novice.

Couldn't get it to work
Maybe it works, maybe not. Too much time messing with it.

Great value
I had needed one of these for my BMW, so that I could quickly read codes and understand what’s going on. I had gotten this after my dealer could not diagnose a light that I had gotten. They could tell me what caused it, but wanted to keep my car for what they described as could be weeks of testing. I asked them to clear the fault and let’s see if it comes back. I ordered this the next day. It connects easily to my phone and my car, and offered me the information that I was looking for. I hope that this helps.

Works well, but comes without documentation
This is a review of "VXSCAN ENET Wireless OBD2 Adapter for BMW/Mini, OBD II Diagnostic Scanner for iPhone/iOS&Android&Windows, Car Coding, Check Engine Diagnostic Scan Tool Compatible with BimmerCode, Bootmod3, Ethernet"I bought this for my 3-series 2014 BMW ("F series"). Let's get the negative out of the way first -- this adapter ships with zero documentation, so it wasn't at all clear how to use this with the popular BimmerCode app. BimmerCode has a list of compatible adapters and this one isn't anywhere to be found on the list. However, I figured out how to make it work:1) Plug in the adapter into the OBD port (in drivers side footwell -- see photo for my 3-series BMW)2) Turn on power to the car, but not the engine, turn off lights, air conditioning etc.3) Put your iPhone into airplane mode and turn off Bluetooth4) Turn on Wifi and you will see "MHD ENET_1071" as an option, select it and type in the WIFI password on the front of the adapter: 1234567895) Go into BimmerCode and select the adapter "MDH Universal/black"6) Click "Connect" and everything works from thereSteps 5-6 will be different for other apps, but the key for me was to figure out that there is no "VXSCAN" adapter but this shows up as an MDH Universal to the app.Why four stars? Because once I figured out how to get connected, BimmerCode and the adapter worked great. I was able to disable the AV system warning and change the default driving mode and it was super easy and "just worked". The connection was much faster and this really beat the cabled approach I've used in the past. So highly recommended, if you're willing to figure out how to get the app and adapter working correctly together which could be a bit of an adventure.

NICE DEVICE BUT HARD TO CONNECT
We got this for checking codes, but the device doesn't come with any booklet, and initially thought it needed to be plugged in to a power chord and outlet to work, but it connects easily to the car. However, it doesn't connect so easily to the app. It has been hard to link and pair it with the app on our phone. Been trying but nothing yet. So we'll keep trying.
