Great taste and good boost
These taste great (especially the apple crumble flavour) and give me a nice boost of energy during long runs. They are easy on the stomach. I will be buying them again.

Good value and mix of flavours
Great way to find out what flavours you like. All flavours (without caffeine) tend to be on the sweet to very sweet side. Quite a thick syrupy texture (which I actually prefer to more watery ones), but not claggy. My favourite flavours are Apple Crumble, Rhubarb and Custard (the best), orange and banana, and Raspberry Ripple. The others were all ok, but I tend to just rotate these 4 flavours. I am really not a fan of the guarana/caffeine ones- the Cola one was "okay" but I wouldn't get them again- fortunately I'm happy not using caffeine so it doesn't really matter. These are higher calories than the other gels I've tried (SIS and Gu) and I prefer the consistency- so they are my go to option!

Easy to use - taste great
Changed to these gels from a well known Sporty science brand - just out of boredom of the same old gels all the time.I'm type1 and generally consume 3 gels on a decent distance ride - as a type 1 being able to consume energy gels is a must and lets be honest, it's far healthier than eating cake all the way around a three hour ride.I was concerned that some gels can cause upset stomach and or acid reflux problems but these seem really good.It isn't a factor i consider when buying gels that they are vegan or natural but i like the fact that they are. I figure, as these contain 30g of carbs rather than my previous brand that contained 20g, that these may turn out to be a more cost effective way of fuelling over long distances.Easy to store - i could easily fit 5 in one cycling jersey pocket if needed. Very easy to open due to the shape of the top of them. All in all, very nice. Glad to get away from traditional fruit flavours and keen to keep the energy boost.

High carb content. Unpleasantly Sweet. Numbers don't add up. Not Informed Sport tested.
These gels are expensive compared to competitor brands, so is there any reason to prefer them? Two of the claimed advantages are that they are vegan friendly, and that they deliver more carbohydrates than their competitors. The other brands that I have used are also suitable for vegans so that is not a deciding factor. As for the carbs, taken at face value the 30 grams contained in each gel is an improvement over the electrolyte gels from SiS (22g) and MyProtein (25g) for example. However, there is a discrepancy between the claimed 30 grams of carbohydrates per gel and what is stated on the nutritional information on the back of each individual gel. Each of the flavours has either 28 grams or 29 grams of carbs, none of them have 30 grams, at least according to their own packaging. This may seem like a small difference but it reduces the claimed advantage over competitor products and leaves unanswered questions about why the figures are either inflated or erroneous. These gels are smaller than competitor products, so the increased carbs are delivered in a more concentrated dose. Unlike SiS gels they are not isotonic. My limited understanding of the science is that this means that the carbs in these gels are absorbed quicker but doing so uses the body’s fluids, which need to be replenished, whereas the isotonic gels can be consumed without additional water. Each of the flavours is extremely sweet, some of them sickeningly so, but then they largely consist of sugars so it is to be expected. They are noticeably sweeter, and therefore less pleasant to consume, than SiS gels.Four of the gels in this pack are the caffeinated versions, containing 89mg of caffeine. That’s more than you’d find in a can of Red Bull and delivered in a single shot. It’s certainly enough to kick your brain into gear. The individual packaging of the gels is good. The notch at the top means you can tear them open with your teeth without pulling the top off completely - something that can be annoying with the packaging on other brands as you’re left trying to avoid littering while consuming the gel one-handed mid-exercise.There is no mention of Informed Sport testing. This may not be a concern for the majority, and there is no reason to believe that there is anything untoward in these gels, but it provides peace of mind for competitive athletes and is something that other, less expensive brands have committed to.Ultimately the numbers and the science are irrelevant though as I wouldn't buy these again because the sickening sweetness makes them unpalatable compared to the alternatives.

Very Good but the flavours may not be for some
I really liked these. They opened easily and were quite thick. The only issue some people may have is the flavours. I would eat anything and even I went "woaahhhh" at some of the tastes. Wouldn't put me off buying again though

Great flavours
These come in great packaging, the large pouch is very premium feeling with a metallic lining inside and a branding imprint on the outer. The printing is nice and colourful as well as being informative,I particularly liked these flavours, they are predominantly dessert flavours with some coffee/cola too. The consistency is much like yoghurt, thick and creamy, whilst the flavours pop with a strong hit and are very very true to their recipes. I am a little torn here because as much as I like the presentation, and the product in general, the pricing seems just a little too premium, because at around £2 per gel, it's quite premium in price, which may turn people off when it comes to getting over the line to making a sale.It seems that a lot of the costings here are in the packaging, which is basically what you throw away. Maybe it's a reflection on society more than anything, but I think the product should be what you pay for and not the vessel in which it comes. This still gets 5 stars, because it's fantastic, I just think it should be half the price or less.
