I just purchased a 2 hp Harbor Freight (5 micron) dust collector to replace my 1 hp Grizzly. I was concerned about the fit and how performance might be affected going from 5 microns to 1 micron filtering. Fit was fine. The bag seems much thicker than the standard HF bag. Good quality too. re: CFM / suction, I did a very unscientific test by seeing how effective an open, horizontal pipe would hold a package of sandpaper. With the 5 cfm bag, it would barely hold the package with 3 sheets. With the 1 micron it also barely held the same package of 3 sheets. Neither would hold 4 sheets and easily held 2 sheets. So, for me, not a lot of difference in suction / cfm. I was happy with that. How's that for hillbilly testing? ;-) See photos.
