Sigma2D4 610mm Push Handle Tile Cutter

this is my first Sigma; it is a wonderful, precision tool, mine was perfectly square out of the box (I did check the fence). I have been using it to cut 24" Porcelain Tile and I am very happy, cuts and snaps cleanly. I've grown to like the sound of the cutting/scoring wheel as I roll/push the handle down the fence, you can tell by the sound that the scoring is just right. By no means do you apply full force, just a nice medium force. To start the scoring, I pull back towards the fence from about 1/2" into the tile, then set the cutting wheel back up on the tile and push all the way to the other end. (that's what the show in the demo vids). (BTW, without a tile in place on the cool split and spring loaded table, the cut handle does not slide smoothly, BUT, once a tile is in place, it lifts the handle slightly and the cutting wheel then rolls with ease). The guide fence is super strong and does not flex, important to maintain precision cuts. I have had several other, much cheaper tile cutters and I have tossed them out or returned them, this is not the most expensive Sigma in the 24" size, but it's not cheap either. However, when using this for tiling jobs, this is a much appreciated tool. Also, the supplier sent this to me quickly, I got it in 2 days even though it wasn't a Prime item.

Wow! This cuts tile really good, there is a reason that this cost's more than the ones at the big box stores!
