Very highly recommendedI cannot understand the agenda of some of the negative reviews of this prodctYes it was priced a little high originally but at less than £10 it now costs its a bargain. The case fits securely I ve had it several months and it remains solidly attached. it does provide decent protection, I ve dropped mine on to hard concrete a couple of times resulting in xero damage. the 'inelegant press stud keeps the cover securely fastened. Stylish and modern, no 'faux' leather or fake carbon fibre, asdds little buljk and is a perfect aesthetic match for the phoneThe smart window works great. particularly good if you use your Z3C a lot as a music player. regardless of the app you are using, Sony Music, Amazon Prime USB Audio Player Pro, you can control the playback without opening the cover.Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is Sony could provide more widgets for the case. Shame there's no ability to dial favourite contacts.A great case for the perfect phone (Z3 Compact) you'd be daft not to

Please don't listen to other reviews, I nearly did and desperately tried to cancel my order after reading them, however the item was already dispatched.However my amazement when I opened the package and saw a very attractive little case.It's a great design to actually stick to the back of the phone, not to clip on via a sheet of plastic that other cases tend to do.This means its extremely slim, keeping phone to it's original size, not adding bulk and taking away the attractiveness of handset.now, before you stick to the back connect case to your phone via NFC and it automatically loads the app you need to get the phone to recognise the case and get the lock screen to change to fit in the case window.It's great, you can add widgets too read whatapp messages from lock screen, radio, calendar, text messages and phone calls....It's a great case, it's over priced at £40 but well worth £25.Hope this helps

I was anticipating the release of this case and have been pleasantly surprised.The case gives the phone an extremely snug fit and gives you the confidence that the phone is indeed protected. The back of the phone is fastened onto the case by a sticky plastic surface on the interior, initially with a cover that you peel off.Bare in mind the picture that amazon are currently using is the WRONG case model. The one they are currently using is for the Z3, not the Z3 compact. The Z3 compact case has a flap to fasten it onto the rear side. I have attached a photo of the true design of this case- I had notified amazon about this error a month before release, but they seem to not have taken any notice...There is a picture manual that comes in the box but I found it was not entirely clear and spent roughly 30mins trying to get the phone to connect to the smart window - some sort of description would have helped.Initially I stuck the phone to the surface and was unable to get the smart window function to work.What you first need to do is download NFC smart connect app from the Play Store, as you will need this to connect the device to the phone BEFORE you stick it to the case. I found this out the hard way as the phone cannot connect when it is already docked inside the case. I had to pull the phone unstuck from the case, as you need to touch the NFC logo on the back of the phone with the same logo on the interior flap of the case. They have to actively touch to make a connection. I stuck my phone back onto the sticky surface, and have not had any problems with it coming loose.The smart window is extremely convenient for checking the time, playing music, taking pictures, displaying emails or for using any app that has widget support for it (Things like Spotify show up as the first screen whilst on play, BBC news has a number of various widgets for instance) You cannot, as far as I'm aware, use the widget any further than the bulletins it shows. When clicking on a headline you are asked to open the case, from which the page you selected will load.Taking pictures is extremely convenient also. A long press of the photo button on the side will bring up the camera. The smart window unfortunately does not resize the display to the diameter of the cameras display (raising a flap will reveal a parts of the missing screen) so you will have to compensate for a few inches on each side of the picture. When viewing pictures, however, the smart window will calibrate the picture to the size of the window and allow you to flick through.If you have a screen lock you can still use the smart window. However when opening the case it will ask you for your security info before proceeding to the window you wanted to open.Summary:Pros:Protects the phone perfectly - have since removed the protective covers on my phone.Convenient smart window is a great featureAbility to answer calls without opening the case.Phone awakens on case opening for smooth operation.Cons:Expensive for what it is to be honest.Flap is a little annoying, would have preferred a Z3 style case without the button flap.Marginal security vulnerabilities, as you can read headlines of emails/texts without security info.A worthwhile purchase, but may advise others to wait for it to reduce in price. If you can wait.Edit:Forgot to mention that it comes with an adapter for the DK48 charging dock.

The product sticks on by a strong adhesive to the back which requires precision to apply as well as being impractical on occasions when you want to switch case however from my testing if removed and stored correctly it will reattach with ease with a similar strength holding it to the back. This also means that the sides are offered no protection so I would recommend a skin for them.The pairing is easy only requiring a touch to the back of the device to connect and only the Play Store there are varies colour schemes made by Sony that utilise the case's functionality such as waking up the display when it is opened, as well as this you could also use any wallpaper of your choosing however some look strange when the front is left shut and you are using the window.The front itself protects the screen however I keep a tempered glass screen protector on the phone anyway, the window on the other hand does not seem to benefit usage to me as you can only see the time and notifications at a quick glance and anything further I found it easier to just open it up and do it on the full sized screen of the phone.Overall the build quality is OK the synthetic leather is reasonably high quality however the mesh on the inside can sometimes get sticky which then leaves a residue on the screen and inside section of the metal frame.The product is OK however for the price you are paying for the brand rather than massively unique features, you can get a lot better cases for cheaper which include features such as wireless charging.
