Sturdy
Easy to assemble without tools. The back rest can be positioned on either side. It was just what I was looking for after being in rehab.

Needed this!
This is exactly what I needed for my mom. I am a caretaker and she cannot stand up in the tub. She had a chair but her balance is not the greatest and it was difficult for her to get out. This transfer bench is exactly what I needed. it was easy to put together and it sits perfect in our standard tub. Easy to clean and doesn't "hold on to the dirt?" if that makes sense. Doesn't look dingy after a few showers and then cleaning.

I Am Torn On This One- Let Me Explain
Due to a nearby tower creating some issues, I have had to adapt myself to learning to do things with assistance until I can recover from this horrible situation that has happened. This includes bath time. I need to take baths a lot to maintain any sort of comfort, but some days it is difficult to get into the tub.ASSEMBLYThis comes in a big box as you might guess. It takes some effort to assemble, but if you are struggling with arm strength as my mom has, you might not be able to assemble this easily without help. Some of the pieces were a bit hard to push in.USE FOR SHOWERS/ SPONGE BATHSFor taking a shower, this is good to put on the floor and sit on, slide yourself over into the tub, and then pull your legs in. You would be best with a hand held shower, but cup baths, and other methods will work. There is room for soap and bottles if needed.USE FOR BATHSFor a bath, this will be something you will need an assistant for. You will need to use the seat to get into the tub, but then have someone remove it so you can take your bath. It is not overly practical for that unless you have a farily large tub and bathroom.SIZEThat is where the issues start for me. Our bathroom is quite small and having this seat in the tub means that it takes up the entire walking area. When it is taken out, it can be stood up temporarily, but storing in between baths is tough.STURDYWith adjustments, this can be pretty sturdy and stay put on the tub for use.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is a great help if you have too much trouble getting in and out of the tub for a shower. For baths you will need help using it.MY RATINGFOUR STARS. I wish this was more practical for storage and using for baths. If it had a way to fold in half to store or take in and out of the tub, it would make life easier. As it is I know it is more sturdy but any port in a storm at this point. If you have a larger bathroom with an area to keep this, it would be a big help. Smaller bathrooms might be more difficult in some cases.

Quick and easy setup, very sturdy
This is perfect for my elderly parents to help get in and out of the shower as well as during. It was an easy 10 minute assembly and very sturdy. It's all heavy duty plastic with water drain holes so never any worry about long term corrosion issues.

Very bulky
To bulky for the tub use.

Great height, Easy to assemble
There's lots to love about this transfer bench. First, it was super easy to install. The most difficult part, which some seniors might need help with, was snapping the legs into place. A gentle tap with a heavy book gets the job done. Second, it is super easy to adjust the height. You just twist a leg, adjust to the height you want, and twist it in the opposite direction to snap into place. Third, the maximum height is amazing. Other manufacturers of transfer benches and shower chairs could learn from this product. Others will give you 20 inches height at most, but this transfer bench tops out at a little more than 21 1/2 inches. For us taller folks, the higher the better.I'm overwhelmed with joy over this transfer bench. They say it holds up to 350 lbs, and it might do just that, but for sure it holds 195 lbs with no problem. Definitely a five star product.

Easy assembly; helpful in assisting with bathing
The media could not be loaded. This Transfer Bench is lightweight; it is not too heavy for me to lift it to put into the bathroom.I like that when I sat on it, the chair did not bend/sink/move under body weight.I like that the legs are adjustable, great for those of us who are short, so our feet can touch the floor. With the slip-resistant rubber tips, the chair stayed steady on the bathroom floor. The removable arm, once assembled, stays in the slot securely, and I hold it to help me carry/move the bench from one spot to another.I like that when I get up from the bench, while holding the removable arm, the bench does not tilt in the direction of the arm. The bench stays stable on the floor. The multiple vents do a decent job of allowing most water to drain, although there are tiny water puddles that stay on the bench. Also, once I am done using the bench, I rinse away the soapy areas.Assembly did not take long:-- insert the 4 legs-- insert the removable arm-- insert the back-restLastly, a piece broke off the bench (see pic, labeled "broken pieces"), on the side of one of the back rest location. So, although there are two back rest locations that can be used, I use the back rest location on the other side - the side that is intact.Overall, this Transfer Bench is helpful to use while bathing.

Really sturdy, but a little short.
This is well made and feels quite sturdy. Overall it was relatively easy to assemble but I'm fairly experienced at that sort of thing so my opinion of easy assembly might be different than someone who isn't very handy. And this works well for the walk in shower and barely clears the side of the steel tubs in my house but it doesn't work at all on the big garden tub in the master, that tub is just way too tall and wide for this.Other than that it is great and will be very handy next time I get injured at work.
