Everbuild Foam Sealant Joint Backer Rod 15mm x 10 Metre

I recently purchased an ultrasonic record cleaning machine and needed 15mm rod foam as a filter. This product was perfect. Recommended to all audiophiles owning a Degritter.After much research I recently purchased a Degritter ultrasonic vinyl record cleaner. One of the attractions was that it needed few expensive consumables unlike its competitors.However it did need 15mm foam filters which had to be replaced at least every 50 cleaning cycles. Purchasing five 1.25” foam filters from the manufacturer would cost £25.00!However the user manual clearly states that you can source and make your own. This product is perfect for that and at less than £5.00 for 10 metres it is very very cost effective. So far this foam rod has worked very well in my ultra sonic record cleaner and I am very pleased with the cost saving I have achieved.

Needed to fill in cracks on concrete drive so ordered two sizes of rod to fit different width cracks. This rod size was great for smaller cracks and fitted in perfectly. For some of the wider cracks a combination of this size and the wider rod were used together. By adding the rod in each crack it stopped the epoxy concrete pouring all the way down the crack meaning less epoxy concrete was needed. Rod was pushed in crack with a tool, leaving space for the epoxy concrete to go over it and seal the crack. Worked brilliantly for this repair job and we are really glad we found this product. Took some days to arrive, could have been due to lockdown reasons so if you need it for a particular job, best to order it ahead of time just in case.

DidnT tear when squeezing into gaps

Wish I'd have known about this previously would have saved a lot of time! Just had a new interior door and frame fitted it's an old house and the walls aren't exactly straight so left a lot of large gaps! Looking for something I could use to fill and came across this it's brilliantly simple just push in the gaps and apply filler directly on top! Comes in different sizes or you can cut to suit saved me a lot of time and a lot of filler!

Had some draughts around some uneven areas too large to use sealant, this did the job perfectly 👍

Used to fill a gap on aporch that had moved over 20 years

Exactly what I needed for reducing the depth of void between a bathtub and the wall, since the wall tiles didn't continue below the rim of the bathtub but rather stopped just above it. Over the years the bathtub has settled and the gap between the tub's rim and the bottom edge of the tiling had widened too. Long story short - there was quite a tricky gap to fill. Previous home owner had just pumped this full of sealant and hoped for the best; but these joint backers offered a far neater and economical solution. Very pleased to have found it on Amazon as local DIY store doesn't seem to stock anything like it.
