Philips Stellar Bright B22 14-Watt LED Bulb(Warm White/Golden Yellow Pack of 1)

LED lights are generally superior than traditional incandescent bulbs. But the problem with unbranded LED bulbs is that they get dim when there is low voltage which is common across India. I bought some unbranded LED bulb from local store and it works fine when the voltage is fine. But it is completely unusable when there is low voltage. But Philips LED bulb is simply fantastic. It is bright and doesn't get dim when the voltage fluctuates. I even measured power consumption. It consumes much less power than any cfl or incandescent bulbs.Only disadvantage is that the bright white light is slightly artificial for my taste. I am not used this "White" light in my living roomIt is costlier than any unbranded LED bulb you can find in a local electrical store. But believe me it is really worth every rupee. I've been using this everyday for the past 3 years without any problem and it works just like the day I bought

HI THEREI purchased these LED (Light Emitting Diode) bulbs on 08.03.2018 for rs 449.Seller is Cloudtail.Packing was excellent.I replaced all my CFL (Compact Fluorescent Light) about 3+ years ago with LED bulbs for their energy efficiency .FEW THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT LED LIGHTSA significant feature of LED is that the light is directional as opposed to other bulbs which spread the light more spherically.That means we may need multiple LED s for a single room according to the size of the room.Though a bit expensive they are much more efficient (use 1/3 of wattage of CFL) & durable than CFL bulbs.LED bulbs do not cause heat build up in a room also they contain no mercury.Keep the following few things in mind in choosing the LED s.HOW TO ESTIMATE DESIRED BRIGHTNESSRead the package to choose desired brightness.We typically connect wattage with brightness.Wattage measures energy or electricity used.A 9 watt led bulb consumes that much electricity.Brightness is measured by lumens and that is clearly given on the package.(I have attached picture)Note. Bulbs with similar wattage may vary in lumensWHAT ARE COOL & WARM LED LIGHTS?Cool white light is ideal for task lighting & warm lights are commonly used for accent or small area lighting.Choose branded high quality bulbs or they die prematurely.ABOUT THESE PHILIPS LEDAs mentioned before package is neat.Compact but bright.(1400 lumen)Good quality ,well built bulbs.Does the job beautifully. I am using 2 bulbs for each room.ANY NEGATIVESThe initial brightness becomes less bright with in a month's regular use.FINAL WORDPhilips is a reputed brand.The cost is affordable now (previously very expensive).Really energy efficient.Would I recommend if you are interested in buying? Philips stellar bright led lamp set is a perfect deal.i got it at a price of 399/-- in lighting deal offer and for that price is a perfect deal.(On the box it shows 900/- rupees)Specification:-14W which delivers 1400 lumen (1 W= 100 lumen).2) As it is a led bulb which has a PCB with embedded leds on it,So does not require much protection and the outer body top is made up of high quality plastic.PERFORMANCEOn the box it says that 14W led = 23W CFL and after seeing it's performance it was just amazing.the room was brilliantly lit.2) It comes with 2 years warranty for which you have to register at the official Philips website.3) Overall it is perfect product at a very good price from a well known brand and best part it comes with 2 years warranty,So just go for it.

For the past few years, I am buying LEDs bulbs from multiple online stores like Amazon and replaced more than 20 CFL lights with LED bulbs. Rewind 3 years from now, Philips was very costly. My first LED bulb, a Philips (12.5 w) bulb costed 625 after discount on Dec'14. Now, we are paying only 399 for a pair of (14 w) bulb! Huge drop in price! I own many Wipro, some EverReady and only few Philips bulbs due to the cost factor. Now, as the price have decreased, I bought Philips again. But to add to my disappointment, one of them stopped working in 2 months.Recommended usage as per Watts:-----------------------------------------3w, 5w - Bathrooms, Balconies, Passage area7w, 9w - Bedrooms, Dinning space12w, 14w - Main hall, Study room, KitchenTypically, the heat sink at the bottom of the LED bulbs will draw the heat out of the LEDs and transfer the heat into the air. They should be heavy and well built. But, unfortunately all the bulbs are manufactured with the same heat sink size despite their wattage. Hence, higher the wattage the sooner it crashed. I have few 3W,5W bulbs working for more than 3 years but the same can't be said for high watt bulbs... exception is the Philips 27W bulb which is bigger in size and well built.The warranty factor:------------------------Wipro - In the past, I have got 2 bulbs replaced. But now their customer service has become worst. They no longer process warranty claims, at least in Chennai.EverReady - They are never ready to process warranty claims. Don't have proper phone number and doesn't respond to emails.Philips - Relpaced the bulb in 1 month after initiating the warranty. Warranty works in Philips, but you will have to endure some pain and do multiple follow ups to get it done. Phew!Hope this review was helpful to you.
