How would the vacuum be affected by a wet puddle like cat vomit?

It would probably drive right over the wet puddle and smear the cat vomit on the floor as it continues to vacuum.

Does it clean pet hair well?

Yes. I have a Great Pyrenees who sheds CONSTANTLY - and that hair is LONG (average strands are about four inches. It cleans it very well, but about every one or two weeks I have to take scissors to the main brush so it can roll and pick up better. This only takes a minute and I really don’t mind. I do need to empty the tray every day or every other day.

The robot usually keeps bumping into the wall. The front bumper does not work well. Any advice?

I have a shag rug on my hardwood floor, will it stay off of it or try to get on and get stuck?

It will try to climb onto the shag carpet and vacuum it.
