Purchased the set for my husband. Over time, we have lost and broken bits and, with several moves, our tools are not as organized as they once were. This metal case organizes a large number of bits that come in a wide range of sizes. Cannot imagine not having what we need with this selection. My husband was pleased with this gift and says that they work well with metal. Have not yet had the need to try on plastic. They did better with harder wood than soft but he says that the bits are intended to be used on metal anyway. Realistically, the smaller bits will break easier than the larger ones so it is good that there are so many of them in the case. If you are not familiar with the metric system, you may need to look it up. This is a very good product and I recommend it for all but those needing a heavy duty commercial set for daily use or someone working exclusively in wood. For home use or or basic contract use, this should be a very good choice.

A great price for some high quality drills. They feel very sharp. I've used on PT wood and aluminum pipe and the drills started the hole easy and went right through without heavy pressure. There are 2 or 3 of each larger size and increasingly more of each drill size as they get smaller. This is nice because it is pretty easy to break the smaller drill sizes, so this way you don't have to fret when you do so--just grab another. All the drills come in a sturdy metal case with a nice clasp that won't come unlatched and spill the drills. A foam layer on the top lid keeps the drills in their respective compartments; plus the little ones are in little plastic bags. Nice product.

I tried this kit this afternoon and destroyed five bits making three holes. On bit was crooked and of course it rotated so much at the tip that it could not "find" the center punched dimple. I tried to drill two 3mm holes in 16 ga steel. It took three bits. All burned up, getting red hot before completing the hole. I then needed to drill three 5mm holes in the steel. I got through one hole and the second one welded itself to the steel I was trying to drill. I couldn't finish the second hole as the welded bit part could not be punched out. I then tried the third hole and it went almost the way through then the bit melted again. This is a case where the packaging looks good, but the product is junk. It might work on wood or plastic, but it will not work on metal.

There really are a lot of bits in here! The set arrived as described, in a heavy duty metal case. I didn't realize how many until bits this actually was until I visually saw them all. It's a good set. The titanium high speed steel works well. I expected some bits to break easily, since they give you multiples of each size and I was drilling steel, but they held up well. I do wish the case had holders in each indent to clip the bits in place, because they easily scramble around when you lock up and carry the case. The bits are all engraved though, so you can reorder them when they come out of their pockets.

I just purchased these drill bits last week to replace my old set. I'm extremely happy with them. I needed new bits for some home improvement projects I'm working on. I was very glad to have several bits in each size because I'm prone to losing them, and if one broke, I had another readily available. They come in a metal case and the sizes are pictured on the underside of the cover, so that you can see exactly what size is where, eliminating time wasted in confusion. They're strong bits and they go right through wood and drywall. I'm surprised they're so inexpensive, honestly. I'm glad to have this quality set of drill bits.

They break with to much speed or pressure. Still very nice 2 have for price. Not junk

It has a section for every drill bit to lock into place. Each bit is made of high-quality metal. You can tell that they are professionally crafted of materials of the higher-end variety. I very happily give this set to solid thumbs up!
