This is a pretty good kit. I use a ton of the swabs and patches when cleaning my guns and to get them in essentially a bulk package is nice.

I do a lot of sports shooting at my local range and no matter if I shoot a firearm 10 times to check and adjust optic alignment or if I sent 200-300 rounds downrange, I always clean my firearms after each and every trip to the range. Quality firearms are expensive and the best way to protect that investment is to clean them.As such, I use up a lot of cleaning supplies and the Universal Gun Cleaning Supplies is a great way to replenish a lot of those supplies. I also shoot a lot of small bore, .17 and .22LR, ammunition known for being dirty. This universal re-supply kit with 3 brushes, 300 cleaning swabs and 300 patches give you the supplies necessary to keep your investment in top condition.The swabs are particularly handy. A 6" bamboo stick really lets you get into those hard to reach places in the breach area and ejector port, getting into all the areas where residue like to hide. The cotton end is far different than a regular Q-tip because the cotton is wound tight and doesn't fluff easy and leave fibers behind. If you are cleaning a handgun, the swabs let you get into every nook and cranny in the trigger well, along the slide and slide guides to remove a lot of that nasty buildup. If you are cleaning a lever action rifle, the bamboo can be bent slightly to allow insertion into the breach a full 6" to get solvent where you need it and to get the dirt out. They also work extremely well on bolt action firearms.The brushes are very nice with a large brush on one end and a smaller detail brush on the other. Nylon, steel or brass, there is a brush for every need. The handles are plenty solid and the bristles don't become dislodged easily and they make cleaning much easier.The patches are nice quality lint free cotton. They are 2"x2" which is fine for a shotgun or a large caliber firearm, but if you shoot small bore, these can be cut into quarters and still perform well.The Universal Gun Cleaning Supplies is a great way to stock up or resupply your cleaning kit. Everything included is a nice, quality piece essential to keeping your firearms in top condition.

I feel like you just can't have too many patches. I go through a ton when I clean some of the guns, especially the long ones and the old long ones. Here are more patches. They're nicely absorbant. They do a good job cleaning the gun. The swabs are a nice to have too, although I'm always a little nervous about leaving bits of cotton behind. These seem decent. I like the long tips. Overall, a nice little kit to add to our cleaning supplies.

This multi item box will keep your guns clean and ready to go. Comes with plenty of long swabs for most handguns, cleaning pads for any gun, a cleaning cloth and three brushes. Works great and comes with enough for a couple dozen cleanings. Great kit!
