If you are changing the brush roller or drive belt on a Dyson DC14 Clutch model you definitely need this tool ! forget using your fingers or a screwdriver, the drive belt is too tight. This makes it so much easier and saves you damaging your fingers. Watch the videos on Youtube on how to do it - crucialvacuum.com is a good one.

I have seen this in use by two separate dyson service agents and decided I could do the same if I had this tool so I bought one when I discovered they were on sale - worked as expected and easy to use (trying to remove/restore belt without is a real pain but can be done) - buying this and the appropriate parts is way cheaper than paying for a third party to service your dyson (DC04 or DC07 - dont know about others) - remember to wash your filters regularly if heavy usage - also note that removing and replacing dyson parts to replace slack drive belts is very fiddly

What a great tool. I have changed a few brushbars on clutched Dysons in the past and usually left me with sore fingers. No more. This tool is so easy to use and works great. I only wish i had bought one earlier. Many people will say that it's not worth investing in unless you plan to remove many brushbars, but i disagree. Even if you only use it once, it's worth it.

I ordered this so I could investigate the reason for my Dyson not picking up properly. After following a couple of videos available on the net, I removed the brush bar, replaced the bearings and it's as good as new. I challenge anyone to get their Dyson fixed for less than a tenner!

Good tool but a bit over priced for what it is

Well made and perfect for the job

I bought this tool because without it, you need the muscles of Garth and three hands to get the brush roller back on. So, with me having neither of these it was still hard work to achieve the replacement. You still need three hands, but not quite the strength. I managed to get the drive belt over ONE of the arms. Over two was impossible for me. Nevertheless, this was enough to manhandle the brush roller into the machine. In conclusion - it DOES make the replacement easier, but not by much.

The tool is for stretching the drive belt so the brush roller can be removed / refitted. It’s takes quite a bit of muscle to stretch the belt over the 2 pins, but once in place, it taking the roller in & our is far far easier. All in all, a handy tool to have

You need these tools if you ever need to put new belts on your Dyson. They worked great on my DC14 new clutch and brushroll install. Great price too compared to others.

This tool made the task so much easier so I would recommend buying it.
