Best for what I was looking for - Lane swimming and getting entertained!
I was looking for entertainment for hours of lane swimming. I first tried bluetooth headphones, but then realized that the bluetooth connection doesn't work underwater. I came across this type of headphones via a YouTube video. I immediately decided to pick a branded product and was willing to pay a little more. It's just perfect for what I need it for! I swim between 30 minutes and 1.5 hours per session. The 10h battery life lasts so well, just charge it every 4-5 times. The operation is more than simple, long on “M” and you can switch between Bluetooth and memory mode the other two buttons letting you go back in track oder switch to next one.Since Bluetooth does not work underwater, I have not tested this. I loaded my favorite audio book onto the headphones and put my earplugs in the ear canal to protect them from constant contact with water, put on my swimming goggles and the bone-connector headphones from Creative. And I can hear perfectly, even though I can't hear anything else (the earplugs are so tight). I can hear the audio book perfectly at almost maximum volume, regardless of whether my head is constantly submerged underwater.Important to mention: The whole thing is completely stiff, so if you dont like headphones like this, it is someting you have to take into account. All in all, it's exactly what I was looking for! And the Materials which are used for it are extremly high quality. There is one thing which i dont know for now how they could make it better, is the music/data file management. If you put songs on it, its just plays it alphabetically, even though you make folders .. you can not jump on other folders. Since you dont have any display or something its kinda hard to know where you are. So i recommend only put on the amount of files you wanna hear in a row (for example while running or swimming lanes) and remove it if your finish listening to the audio book or your podcast. But since there are only the buttons "+" and "-" how would that jumping between multiple folders possible? The only Idea i could find is by triple clicking maybe.Pros:- very comfortable, almost not feeling wearing it while swimming- Good and clear sound (even though its not inside the ear)- long lasting battery- super high quality in materials and feels while using itNeutral- perfect for audio books - but not the craziest soundexperience for Music (which i dont need) thats why I consider it not really as a "con"Cons:- the headphones fit perfectly, but as soon as you finish swimming the lane and then turn around and push off the edge of the pool, the headphones almost slide off (since there are only "contacting" on your bone so inside your ear) -> the solution for that is not to push to hard from the pool edge - just a little less and its ok .. so not that much of an issue for me- maybe the stiffness could be a con for someone - not for me- the file managementConclusion:I am writing super rarely long reviews, since whatever you buy.. its very often a "its ok" .. but this product amazes me .. no nobody sent it to me or sponsored me. If you are not sure, check out the thousands of youtube videos out there. For swimming or other "wet" sports you dont need super advanced technology, if you want to be entertained, just functionality which this headphones fullfills at 100%! Absolute recommendation! Check out first, for what you need the headphones :).

Can’t connect to computer to download MP3s
In spite of watching a YouTube video on how to do this by the professionals, using the link to go directly to the website and talk to an online support person in a chat and receiving an article and reading again on how to do it this will not connect to your computer. In fact, your computer won’t even register it like it does a normal USB key or when you have your phone plugged into your computer. I tested multiple things and nothing seems to work. It just never registers like everything else. Can somebody please help with this otherwise I’m going to return them because you cannot listen to wireless Bluetooth anything in a large 50 foot lap pool let alone when your head goes underwater

Fantastic So Far
UPDATE: Sept 15 2023 Still love them after using them 3 months every day. mike plug is still useless and falls out if you touch it but fortunately I don't swim with them on. Still think it's dumb how you have to move one song at a time and can't adjust order on PC. My wife has the Shokz Open Run and the magnet charger is sooo much better than the Creative, but I only needed the MP3 player, so not a deal breaker. Bottom line" If you want bone conduction headphones, only need a onboard MP3 player and don't plan on swimming with them, I highly recommend these. I've had these 2 weeks now. LOVE THEM. Still super comfortable and the sound is great. I wish I could move the music in the MP3 part to change the listening order, but it's not changeable via the PC. You would have to delete and then redownload in the order you want. Seems like that should be easily possible. The only other minor thing is the mike plug. Everytime I finish the run and try to dry off the headphones, the plug falls out. Seems pretty likely it would fall out while swimming, but since I won't be using it for swimming, no prob for me. I'm going to add a very small rubberband near the grey strip and see if it controls the plug a bit better. Bottom line, these are fantastic and I highly recommend them. Can't imagine the the more expensive brands are any better. Absolutely love these Bone conduction headphones so far. Very Comfortable, super easy to use. Sound is great. Had my first hour run with them today and they were great. Had one glitch at 22 minutes when they shut off. Not sure if I did something wrong, but was able to turn them back on and continued for another 40 minutes. They are exactly what I wanted....bone conduction so I can hear my surroundings and onboard memory so I don't have to carry a phone. The one minor problem I'm having so far is that I would like to change the order that the songs are in and for some reason using the PC and opening up the headphone drive window doesn't allow me to drag songs into a different order. I'll try to figure this out for a bit longer and then reach out to Creative to see what I'm doing wrong or not doing. I highly recommend the Creative Outlier Free Pro. They are the second brand I tried (first was 1/2 the price) but as is to be expected with Creative, so much better quality.

Good earphones, almost useless (but critical) microphone plug and average mp3 player.
Reviewing after several days of usage:It's really convenient to swim with music on, that's the point why I've purchased this earphones. And it's working, so my swimming is now much more fun:) However:1. The requirement for swimming is to close the mic plug, so no water could get inside. The plug is really unreliable and doesn't hold in place. I've put the plug under the silicon cover and it holds better, but still isn't a reliable. I'm afraid my headphones won't have a long and happy life, since it's clearly written that water in the mic will likely damage it.2. Having a 8Gb MP3 is cool. Not being able even to rewind it to the start of playlist - not so cool. The only available option to rewind is to long press the button to start previous song. Or get to the end of the playlist, which is a nightmare if you've uploaded more than 50 songs. Took me 5 minutes of repeatedly pressing the button to start a playlist from the beginning.3. Haven't really understood "low latency" mode (nothing in the manual), may be it should fix this, but - a word of advice - if your phone is near the pool - disconnect it before swimming. If you don't disconnect it, your music from mp3 will be constantly interrupted with messages "disconnected" when you are underwater and "connected" when you're back on air. Really annoying.May be there are some options to fix this things, but Creative didn't even provide a companion app for this headphones. So - no customization, no software updates.

Swam Once; Stopped Working. Also unfomfortable. Very little and annoying warning of low battery.
Had these three months. Went swimming once in a 6'-deep pool for about half an hour. I didn’t put the mic plug in because it kept coming out anyway so I figured the plug wasn’t going to keep water out completely, anyway. I kept using for two days thereafter. Then I let them sit a day. On the fourth day, the battery seemed dead and I recharged them. When I took the charger off, the power cycled on (without my pressing the power button). The device buzzed, said “Power on”, then said “Pairing”. A few seconds later the power cycled on again, and again it said “Power on” then “Pairing”. And it kept in the cycle perpetually. I held both volume buttoms to reset, and nothing changed, the power kept cycling and the device keept going into pairing mode.--When the battery gets very low, a warning comes on a couple or few time, every minute or so, “Battery Low. Battery Low.” That lasts about 2–5 minutes it seems, maybe 10, then the thing shuts off. When it powers on, it gives no audible indication of battery level. Other headsets I’ve had give an estinate of minutes of use remaining. So when turning on, there’s no way to hear how low the battery is. So one may be getting ready to jog for an hour, and find out 2 minutes into the jog, the battery’s dead. So one won’t be able to use them for the jog, and might not have time to do something else while one waits for them to recharge.--I tried Aftershokz Open Run Pro and they felt very light and comfortable. These (Creative) never seemed to fit comfortably. Depending how I adjusted the headphones, one ear or the other always seemed louder, and one ear or the other oftem seemed plugged by the way one of the headphones was sitting. The sound quality of playback (listening) seemed comparable to Aftershokz Open Run Pro. Both I found too quiet to understand speech when I was joggby by a road with passing teaffic. Underwater the Creative headphones sounded great: better than in the air.The mic quality for calls was not great with either, but was worse with Creative.
