Q: in one of the pictures/desc. it says 3/5/7/9" reel compatibility, yet in a couple of others it only says 3 or 5". Which is correct?

I believe there are two models of the Digital MovieMaker Pro. The model that has the swinging arm for mounting the reels will take 3/5/7/9" reels. Also, if the image shows four different size reels (i.e., a red one: 3", a gold one: 5", a black one: 7", and a blue one: 9"), then you can be pretty certain that it's the right one for accepting those size reels. Enjoy your digitizing!

Q: Is it motirized or do you turn it by hand?

It is motorized. You just have to start it by feeding it by hand.

Q: What is the model number? I want to make sure I’m getting the Pro, but there’s no model number in the description.

It says Pro right in the heading. I'm not near mine to see if it actually has a model #. I bought this same exact one as it shows you are inquiring about and it says PRO.

Q: It says 20fps in several places, but the norm for these scanners seems to be 30fps. Is it really 20fps or is that a typo?

The scanning speed is between 1 and 2 frames per second so it takes quite a while for it to scan a film reel. The scan quality is quite good. Color is very good. Also, if it runs into a damaged place or uneven splice, it can jam and keep retrying indefinitely until you stop it, move past the bad spot and then start it again. You may want to have a mp4 video editing program to join the segments together if this happens. Otherwise each time you have to stop and start the scan you end up with a separate video clip. You don’t have to edit the clips together. You can just view each scan segment as a separate clip.
