I prefer a cool white colour for illuminating food as it's a more natural (some might say clinical) light, important when you're trying to see how the cooking is going.These things are super bright, I don't think I've ever seen a GU10 bulb as bright as these and they illuminate the area perfectly. The beam is fairly wide too so there's not too much shadowing, I have ten of them on 2x 5-way spotlight strips. Price is excellent, they fit perfectly replacing the previous bulbs without any difference in physical size.Quality-wise, they feel extremely light, not sure how long they'll last with no obvious heat-dissipation but I have spares from the pack of 12 so time will tell.At the moment, thoroughly recommended, just don't look straight at the beam, or you'll be unable to see anything else for quite a while :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bright led bulbs *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 18 October 2026* Previous bulbs I’ve bought provided a yellowish dim light. Not sure yet about their lifespan but happy with how they light up a room. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Far Better Than COB etc, Floods not Spotlights *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 30 August 2024* Thanks to the previous owner we have a slew of GU10 fittings around the house - 32 at a quick count - kitchen, hallway, staircase, upstairs landing, all 3 bathrooms, wife's dressing room, think that's all of them!. All had 50W incandescent bulbs fitted. Over the years I have changed them, initially for the kitchen (8 fittings) to CFL then to LED, a mix of 3 and 4 LED spots and COD (1 square LED) 9-12W bulbs. I bought these a while ago but only tonight fitted some. One kitchen bulb (a 4 LED 12W) was flickering annoyingly so I swopped it for one of these, and when I tested it I could not believe how much better the light was over our main working area - so immediately changed the other 3 on that run to these. The lighting over our main work area is so much better than the previous 3 x 4 LED 12W and 1 x 12W COB LED it's unreal.
