I was in a horrific accident and my 2026 Lexus was totaled. This camera had the entire accident recorded and the quality was so clear we were able to see everything. All was submitted to the state police. It was somewhat difficult to install the rear cameras, but it was worth all of the time and effort to install. I also dont love the app so much, but I am ordering another for my new car as this was superb. Dont even think about this purchase. Just do it.

Fits my 2023 Lexus RX350h perfectly. I installed it myself within 40 min and it looks very nice and clean. Thanks!

Support Review: Support was very responsive. Showed me which pins to test with my multimeter and quickly confirmed the harness was dead. Had trouble ordering a new one but after a few emails and $30 later, they shipped me a replacement harness. New harness has noticeably thinner gauge wires. Hopefully it lasts longer than the original one. Replacement cable shipped from Pleasanton CA, thankfully not overseas. —- Updated Review: Took the memory card out of the camera today to grab footage and realized the last video it recorded was back in July 24, 2024. So from install to when the camera failed, didn't make it 15 months, but was outside the one-year warranty period. Tried pressing the power button to manually power on the camera, no luck. Digital mirror that feeds it power is working fine. Unclear if the harness or camera is the issue. Just reached out to the manufacturer for next steps. Purchased another one back in December for my sibling's car but haven't had a chance to install it yet. Wondering if I should still move forward with it or go with another brand. --- Original Review: I have a Vantrue installed in my other car and initially went with the same model for the RX. However, due to the smaller windshield on the RX, I found the camera way more distracting in the RX vs our VW Atlas. Packaging was great. Video tutorial was good enough but missing crucial steps. Some items to consider: 1) Video was for NX install, RX has different trim pieces. Note the photos of the smaller trim piece and where the connection points are. You'll want to apply pressure to pop those connection points to take that off first. 2) To slide the larger cover off takes quite a bit of force. Also helpful again to see where the connection points are on the photos or existing piece. Steady but forceful. 3) You'll want to remove the zip tie and some electrical tape to unbundle some of the wires. This will make it a lot easier to stuff the new dongle in place and have everything fit within the new cover piece. 4) The smaller piece you snap on to finish the install will need the center portion popped off. I think this is for just the digital rearview mirrors. Unsure. So don't pop it off until your test fit fails. Physical finished product looks good enough and the camera is out of the way. Mobile app is okay. It's flaky and the video feed gets corrupted often on the app. Assume the video is recording fine on the SD card. Note though that the video on the mobile app looks a bit stretched horizontally. Original Title: Easy & clean install, decent enough quality and pricing to go with this vs the Vantrue N4

I was ready to install a Viofo dash cam in my new RX450h+ until I read about the Fitcamx dash cam. I have used Viofo dash cams in multiple vehicles and I have been very pleased with the features and performance. This time, I wanted something easier to install and something that looked OEM but still had the quality and features. I considered the Toyota/Lexus OEM dash cam. I was put-off by the cost of the camera, specs that are not as good as some aftermarket dash cams and by my local Lexus dealership’s complete lack of knowledge about the product. The Toyota/Lexus dash cam is not unique to the RX and in my opinion, despite being OEM, it looks like an aftermarket add-on. The Fitcamx is a stealthy camera that looks more OEM than the OEM product. The Fitcamx dash cam kits are not generic. The dash cam kit that I installed is unique to the 2023-2024 RX. It has the quality and features comparable to the Viofo and other quality dash cams. The Fitcamx people were knowledgeable about their product and fast to respond to questions. Installation was incredibly simple. Video instructions are available on their website. All parts are included and other than the tool included in the kit to remove The RX trim, no other tools were needed. My time to install was maybe 45 minutes. There is no exposed wiring, no adhesive mounting and no fuse block to tap for power.

First one lasted one week before it wouldn’t even turn on anymore. Ordered replacement, hopefully this one lasts longer.
