Absolute Garbage
Bought this back in March 2023 and used it last night for the first time. This is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. The straps are too long rendering this contraption completely useless. I tried improvising with practical ways to shorten the long strap length. The shortest length was still too long causing the part your head rests on to constantly slip. I even tried placing it under my chin to see if I could feel any sense of traction. It not only is completely useless in providing any sense of traction, it poses a serious risk to serious injury. I have severe neck stenosis. Risking resting my head at such a long distance with the head strap constantly slipping off poses a serious threat of irreversible injury. It’s mind boggling this had so many positive Amazon reviews. Now (Aug 2023) it’s pulled from the site. Not a big surprise. I’ve wasted $238 on absolute garbage based on misleading reviews. Absolutely disgusted!

Love this product!
This traction is way more than what I expected! It’s super light weight which kind of made me nervous when I received it and that it wasn’t going to do anything, but I was wrong. It pulls so strong kind of hurt at first. I tried the hammock which did nothing but just lift my head off the floor and provided no pull like this did. Fisher traction kind of feels like someone else is pulling on your head as I laid there. My neck pain was basically gone after the 3rd or 4th times using it for about 15 min each time. I watched Dr Fisher’s videos on their Ytube channel which really helped explain everything in-depth. I am going to try the 21 day challenge he talks about to see if maybe my neck will go back to normal for good. Totally worth the price which I thought was a little high until I felt the pull. I like that I can wash the head piece if I get makeup on it. I think it is a really good investment as it is made of strong plastic and nylon straps. Fits in my travel bag too. Must try for at least 3-4 times for me. Good investment thanks!

works well, helped relieve neck pain
It is very easy to use and you can get some good traction from this product. It helped me relieve some neck pain. The quality seems good, and I have not had any issues with the product yet. I think this product is great for some at home relief, however I do not think this product should be used to replace other types of treatment like going to a chiropractor. Overall a great product that works and is easy to use. My only complaint is that the directions were confusing and it is kind of pricey.

DANGEROUS!!!!!!!
This could be a great product, but it relies solely on velcro to hold a substantial amount of tension, and when it fails, it not only damages your door, but it will also hurt your neck because the violent failure is like a catapult being chopped while your neck is already in a very delicate position. They should at the very least have a safety coil, but even more so they needed to have an additional way to secure it. Velcro will fail eventually even if you maintain it. I've had this and the back traction for only two months and the back traction had failed so many times that the velcro is completely useless. Amazon needs to pull this off the shelvesI have since been in contact with Fisher who was very accommodating. I'm actually keeping both of my Fisher rigs, but I've added my own safety zip-ties to keep it from happening again. I really like these products, but I highly recommend modifying them to prevent damage. Fisher explained that they're designed so that the velcro will fail before the rubber tubes fail in order to prevent severe body damage. I could have been "overloading" the back rig with tension, and I'm going to use it by just letting it do the work on it's own without me trying to really crank it up. I've owned a Teeter and an overhead traction device, and I prefer Fisher traction to both of those. I'm a fifty year old carpenter.

Resolved my severe cervical pain from a C6-7 herniated disc
I am a physician who, one year ago, was diagnosed with a left-sided 2 mm C6-7 disc herniation with left-sided cervical radiculopathy (index finger numbness and triceps weakness) with 10/10 excruciating neck pain necessitating that I sleep in a recliner. I tried PT with little improvement, so I stopped it and started using this traction on my own accord. At first I could only tolerate a few minutes with only a mild amount of traction, but I continued to use it diligently every night, and after a year I had worked my way up to 15-20 minutes with approximately #40 of traction (based on a hand-held luggage scale I used to measure the force). There is a bit of a learning curve positioning oneself in the traction, and having someone assist for the first few sessions is helpful until you get the hang of it, at which point it becomes much more intuitive. I use masking tape to mark the optimal distance for the pillow supporting my shoulders from the door, since a few inches difference in distance from the wall will exponentially increase the amount of traction. Great product, and was a lifesaver for me.
